  1. Don't forget Gibby. Everyone and their dog could see Cecil didn't have it tonight not sure how Gibby couldn't.Bringing him in wasn't the problem.Leaving him in when he looked like s*** is.Not sacrificing Pillar cost us a Run too.If you're not going to sac bunt Goins over with Pillar up and none out, down by a run,in the top of the ninth, you don't belong in the majors.
  2. How did I know that a good chunk of quirville would agree with this rule.
  3. Lets not even keep score anymore. Everyones a winner. f*** it just use a T and a plastic ball.Someone could get hurt by a pitch.I think they should take stealing bases out to.Mighty dangerous.
  4. Quirballs got me waiting for the NHL playoffs already.
  5. Why blame Shapiro? Did you blame Beeston for roster decisions? This is on Atkins if anyone. He comes off as a bagless libtard so he's going to fit in perfectly in Toronto.
  6. Blah blah blah incremental wins blah blah blah. Outside of it's ability to baffle this board with ******** there isn't much this FO has done to impress.
  7. With as many as 8 viable starters they should all be on a short leash including the ones making 12-13M/year and Stroman too.
  8. Drabek probably got as much noise as Sanchez. He just busted out faster and settled any argument. Stro got a lot of noice but silence the critics fairly quikly.
  9. Probably 2005ish for me.Remember that team with the Burnett,Ryan,Thomas,Eckstein, signings.Maybe 2004 offseason.
  10. I've probably been around longer than you.
  11. Selective memory is selective. The only one I remember much agreement on is Syndergaard.
  12. d'Arnaud,Syndergaard,Nicolino,Drabek,Norris,Hoffman,Wallace
  13. I didn't say he wasn't their best pitcher. I said it was far from a certainty. Dickey has won a Cy Young Happ and Estrada were two of the best pitchers in the league the last half of last season Floyd and Penny have had multiple 4+ fWAR seasons. For about the tenth time.I don't think it's likely that Stroman pitches his way off the team.Or that all or any of the rest pitch so much better than him that they might afford to keep in in the minors to start the year.Just saying stranger things have happened.
  14. If he were the best starting pitcher by a wide margin you might have a point. That's far from a certainty therefore you don't.
  15. How the f*** is having a conversation about the Blue Jays starting rotation on a Blue Jays message board considered trolling? Just shut the f*** up.
  16. No,it's not. It might be the first one where the jays have an abundance of viable starting pitching options and only 1-2 spots to fill though.
  17. Yet you're perfectly willing to gift Stroman a spot based on what? The 27 innings he pitched at the end of last season?
  18. If he's being outpitched by Hernandez he's probably not pitching that well anyway. I'm not sure what you think Stromans done that should afford him being gifted a rotation spot. I don't expect it'll ever be an issue because Stroman isn't likely to regress at all let alone enough to lose his spot in the rotation. On the off chance that he does I wouldn't give two shits if he started the year in Buffalo.
  19. Let's say Hernandez and Floyd marginally outpitch Stroman this spring(not out of the realm of possibility).Do they demote them to the pen,or cut them loose all together, and keep Stroman? If so,why are they even here?
  20. I think there's two spots in the rotation that should be up for grabs. Stroman,Hutch,Hernandez,Penny,Chavez,Diamond,Sanchez and Floyd should all have equal opportunities to win them. If anything Stroman,Hutch and Sanchez should have to outperform the rest because they have options.
  21. It would take a combination of him performing poorly and 5 others exceeding expectations.
  22. I don't think the jays owe Stroman anything. If he's not the best option for the rotation when the season starts he should be sent down.
  23. In Buffalo? He's not likely to pitch his way out of a spot in the rotation but stranger things have happened.
  24. Dickey Happ Estrada Floyd Hernandez Chavez Penny Storen Cecil Biangini Delabar Vinditte These are all use them or lose them guys. It's not inconceivable that no one with options makes the 25 man roster.Stroman and Osuna probably will but neither should be gifted a spot.
  25. Not really. He's one of the last guys i'd want brought in against a predominantly left handed hitting lineup.
