You have just been sent the following note from The Cat's Asses () in the Yahoo Sports Fantasy Hockey league named What The Puck Dynasty League (9557)... The cut/callup deadline for prospects will be Monday August 5th, at Midnight. You won't be able to make cuts during the draft. The draft clocks will start the next day (Tuesday 6th) at Noon with 12 hour windows.

Correct. For example, if you’d like to use your first two picks, you’d have to cut/promote two prospects. I’ll be using my first three picks as I’m dropping Tufte and Bjork, and have to promote/trade/cut Ullmark as he has appeared in over 60 NHL games.

The following players are on my bubble: Michael Ferland - FW Brandon Saad - FW Colin Miller - D Tony DeAngelo - D Linus Ullmark - G Would trade any of them, plus Kessel and maybe my 1st for a better RW than Kessel. Otherwise make me an offer on players you like!

Let’s do this. Perhaps if cuts/promotions aren’t made by the official clock start they lose out on picks and prospects needing promotions are cut and eligible for waiver draft?

We could say give it a week for cuts and start it midweek next week or wait until the long weekend is done and start it then.

Yessir. Last year we didn’t as we ran the risk of not starting in time. Check your prospects that have time served in the NHL, if they have played 60 games they will need to be promoted to your roster, or cut and be eligible for waivers and the waiver draft. For example, I own Linus Ullmark, he has played 63 games and is no longer eligible to be on my prospect list. I have to decide to trade/promote/cut him.
