  1. Shall we consider having Tulo lead off again, now that he's found his stroke?
  2. And as much as its probably unproven statistically, there's also that chemistry with Navarro factor; no way Navarro will want to come back as a backup here for another year, and there's no chance that we'll trade Martin. I can see them moving to a new team as a set, actually.
  3. An all time masterpiece from Estrada tonight. Without a doubt the best post season start from a Toronto starter ever... that beats out Key's performance in game 4 of 92 WS. Hope that he will have a chance to MadBum it in game 7 by coming out of the pen.
  4. And Danny Jackson got a shutout vs us in game 5. Give it right back at them.
  5. I love how we finished off Volquez' runners for full 5 earned runs. Bitch.
  6. Great patience by our hitters. Volquez was clearly losing his control, was horribly off balance on his follow through. Add at least two more here please, minimum
  7. He would prob start again on short rest then we'd piggyback everyone else we have I guess.
  8. Our approach looks good. Eventually those liners will find holes. Just keep it up. Feels great to be up early for once.
  9. Today is the back to the future day. Estrada will match the performance of Danny Jackson in game 5 from 30 years ago (ironically the year the movie came out) and go CG SHO.
  10. For real, this is overboard. Getting tired of the same look.
  11. Their offence can't possibly keep those offensive numbers up. I'm calling under on them today, its about time now they go quiet.
  12. Without a doubt we should all wish him well, but I do have to say the Jays management has handed this situation really poorly. If this is an issue that is indeed serious enough to miss time here in the playoffs then I cannot imagine that Loup would be in any kind of right state of mind mentally right now to be pitching for us in the playoffs... he should have been replaced immediately IMO but that is also why I think this may not be a bereavement situation as many speculate; I think they would have already placed him there if that was the case. Perhaps Cecil's injury and total lack of lefty options may have pressured both sides to stay with the team when he really shouldn't be. Francis or Buehrle should have been picked instead IMO.
  13. I said in the other thread but hopefully we get an Estrada complete game shutout here in game 5, win a close one in game 6, then get a Russell Martin wind blown triple in the game 7 to break it open and win it. lol.
  14. I honestly think Gibby may be considering piggybacking Estrada/Price/Stro through the next three games. Right now he has bunch of tired out second tier guys in the bullpen that he doesn't trust anyway + Sanchez and Osuna battling blister/nail issues... I'm gonna be expecting the most unconventional management of pitching from here on.
  15. I would think he would have to be placed on a bereavement list. The problem is I don't think what he and his family is going through is a bereavement type of situation since they never did it last time and haven't done it this time around either. It's such an odd and mysterious situation, I've never seen something like this during playoff time, to miss time on two separate occasions without going on some sort of inactive list.
  16. The weird thing with Loup's Situation is that even an illness/death in the family kind of situation usually gets disclosed publically. The Jays seem to be trying their very best to not disclose any kind of information on this at all, and its very odd that he was never placed on the bereavement list, if it IS indeed a medical emergency in the family. For it to not be disclosed in any way at all like this makes me think that there may be a possibility that his family is involved in some sort of serious legal issues that they don't want blowing over publically, but I won't speculate any further than that. But this certainly seems out of the ordinary here, to be MIA on two separate occasions without notice over such a short time period.
  17. One of Price or Stro will have to MadBum it today + game 7. We have no choice right now really. I'm thinking that guy will likely end up being price since we have lack of lefties in the pen right now. Hopefully Estrada can shut it down and it won't have to come to that.
  18. Let's do the reverse of '85. Estrada shutout in game 5, win a close one in game 6 and get a Russell Martin wind blown triple to put it away.
