    To be fair, Scherzer was an inconsistent mess at first. He actually had to be groomed into the beast he is today. Even Anibal was just merely a decent midrotation guy and has gotten better later on since leaving the Marlins.

    I'd tend to agree. That's not even getting into the fact that he'll either beat up on your prized $80M+ investment (I think Martin catching Dickey has a lot to do with how hard he's been hurting) or you have to waste a roster spot on his personal caddy. All those sacrifices for 200 wildly inconsistent innings.
