  1. Cecil is Big Papi's Papi.
  2. At least Hill will be done next inning.
  3. He keeps throwing that curve up in the zone. It's begging to be hammered.
  4. He has looked a little bit off in the field at times lately. Trouble getting the ball out of the glove a few times this series. Barney should be getting more PT to spell Goins and Pennington, especially with how bad Pennington is vs LHP.
  5. Buehrle.... Just hold onto it. Don't try and do too much. And now he completely had a brain fart there and forgot to cover first.
  6. He was good for one year with the Cubs in 2007... that's about it.
  7. Well, I can know for a fact that Butterfield is blatantly lying about Bogaerts being the biggest one year to the next improvement he's ever seen since he was here when Jose went from scrub to 54 HR's.
  8. Always nice to have a quick inning after a big inning.
  9. Pillar being smart and heads up today. I could get used to this.
  10. Astros on a Leaf-like freefall.
  11. Quite a bit of a necrobump on my part, but it looks like his BABIP-fueled facade as a reliever is starting to crack. Completely unable to get swinging strikes with his total lack of command and over reliance on the sinker. He can generate lots of grounders, but we have far better options in the pen than him (Osuna, Lowe, Cecil, maybe Hendriks). Still a decent reliever, but he should not be a high leverage guy.
  12. A's 18th round pick last year (Mike Nolan) is in serious condition after being shot in the head in a drive by shooting. What. The. f***. Hope he pulls through. Oh, Murica... see what happens when you let everyone and their grandma own 10 guns?
  13. That takeout of Jung Ho Kang was not the first time he's done that crap, either. Coghlan also took out someone in Tampa when he was a Marlin but I forgot who. How the hell was he ever RoY anyways? EDIT: It was Akinora Iwamura he took out BTW.

I like the trade. Grabner has decent rate numbers, he's just been about as injured as Lupul the last few years. He can be a decent flip at the deadline at 50% retention to a contender if he bounces back. Plus, this frees up a slew of spots for signing guys on PTO's, camp invitees, and other previous year draftees to ELC's that can't slide.
  15. Would be awesome if he was somehow able to come back from that a la Isringhausen. Don't see it happening, though. Definitely sucks, though. Guy was downright dominant when healthy. Problem is, he was pretty much damaged goods at the point we acquired him, and even the year before, he showed signs of his injuries finally catching up to him.
  16. The fact that we're 1-3 this year against a horrendous Atlanta team probably doesn't help.
  17. Cecil, Lowe, and Osuna should be our go-to guys from the pen. Hell, Lowe is so much better than Sanchez it isn't even funny.
  18. Old saying about blind squirrels and nuts.
  19. Lol at the Aaron's (the Rona of the US) ads behind the plate with Aaron on the mound.
  20. Oh my god, Sanchez got a swinging K. Can you believe it? Pierre McGuire: I CAN!!!
  21. Oh god, now I hear the fans doing it.
  22. Kiermaier robs Gardner of a double.
  23. Mute button alert.
