  1. haha remember when there was a swinging strikes counter and everyone rightfully thought he sucked. He has improved so much.
  2. lol what was that pitch?? Registered at 98
  3. Estrada looked like he pulled something coming off the mound last inning
  4. Naw I guess the games Ive watched of late have been away games and its not even close
  5. Quick inning nice, crowd looks/sounds dead?
  6. Right before he gets sent to the minors/gets traded
  7. How can you say this has to do with height when he hasnt been throwing 4sm that much AND his 4sm isnt the pitch that's getting clobbered? You're just using anything to justify your point. Dude threw conventional pitching out the door, doesn't locate, doesn't set up his pitches well ofcourse he's getting smacked. 2sm sinker will never have an effective sequence unless they're hackers like the Rays. Sure he's been throwing more 4sm lately, but has he been hitting the corners of the plate? Has he been pitching in to set up the pitch on the outer half? Has he been throwing the high fastball to setup the curve in the dirt? Not consistently NO. He is too often a step behind the hitter. Martin isn't helping either. I think Navarro called a more intelligent game honestly.
  8. Actually no his command isn't very good at all (with the 4seam) and that is why he resorts to the 2 seam. He throws 94-95 with the 4 seam, surely he would be outdoing Estrada if he had good command, but that is the difference. If you look at the movement on his 2 seam and other movement dependent pitches he's way ahead of the game. Just last year there was the article comparing his sinker to Halladay http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/marcus-stroman-discovered-roy-halladays-sinker/ He's struggling right now because he's too predictable and can't effectively locate.
  9. Is Chavez in the rotation and Sanchez in the pen even net positive? If Hutch or Floyd take his spot, we now have 3 guys in Hutch/Floyd, Stroman, and Dickey that are good candidates to throw less than 5 innings/have bad starts on any given occasion. Also the pen becomes redundant if the offence is putting up runs like tonight. I get that it needs to happen to protect his arm, but I don't think anyone should be excited this is happening.
  10. Shoot early start? Only 3 strikeouts for Stroman so far...Dang I'm guessing he's still pitching to contact?
  11. hahahahhaha It's funny how surprised they were considering he walked in with no pants
  12. Just unreal how volatile that Happ for Saunders trade has been. Went from why did we make the trade, giving up #5SP To Saunders going down, potentially career ending injury To Happ putting up monster numbers in Pits To the Bluejays signing back Happ AND getting Saunders back playing better than ever (offensively) So the BlueJays traded Happ for Saunders playing up to expectations and a better J.A. Happ lol
  13. Yeah really. He was pissed he gave up a double? No way the loss was on him.
  14. Tbh though why does Sanchez give af? He was awesome tonight and is going to be awesome going forward.
