  1. This team deserves to lose. I'm not even upset because they have played so horribly. It would be harder to take if they worked hard and fell short. Our supposed leaders in JB and Martin have been pitiful and should be ashamed of themselves. Management needs to extend Donaldson for life. Also good job JB for opening your big mouth and giving a team fuel that leads a series 3-1.
  2. Isn't this only his third game? Geez.
  3. Good to see Martin and Travis have picked up where they left off. Ground outs and double plays.
  4. Honestly, I'm shocked as a Toronto sports fan. I was too young to remember the world series wins, and grew up mostly in a hockey home. I got into the Raptor in ~2004 and the Jays in ~2007. An historically bad decade+ of Leafs, four straight first round exits from the Raps, and the Jays not making the playoffs for 20 years. Things dont work like this for Toronto sports fans. It seemed like we were primed for a collapse to miss the playoffs or to lose the wildcard to ****s in Baltimore. Instead we get a parrot walk off, a sweep of Texas with rat face Jr (Odor), and get to watch a sweep of Boston and rat face Sr. This along with the series comeback in the ALDS last year and the Bautista bat flip. As sad as it is to say without a championship or world series birth, this is the happiest I've been as a Toronto fan in a long time.
  5. Agreed, but none of the faces on Cleveland annoy me as much as Ortiz, or Pedroia's. Or Kimbrel's gorilla stance before a pitch. I'm also happy the Jays go against someone in an identical situation. Sweep with 4-5 days rest. No excuses about being rusty.
  6. f*** the Red Sox. Baltimore wildcard loss, Texas and Boston swept. I feel like a kid on Christmas. Will be nice to not have to see the broadcast booth obsess over Ortiz anymore.
  7. Travis with his usual double play. Anyone hear the one butt hurt commentator grumbling about what if Beltre caught JD's double and ended the 5-run inning?
  8. It's so damn nice to not have to hear that buffoon Harold Reynolds.
  9. The obsession with Buck on that board is very very strange. I'm pretty sure that Callahan09 fellow is a lover.
  10. Good night Baltimore. Try not to get shot down there.
  11. I don't think anyone here is happy to be connected with the Dogg, but 5 accounts on a board for Dogg was/is very light trolling. I'm by no means a heavy user but remember at least 25+ accounts that we all knew he created on the old board.
  12. Offer him a week's pass to post here. He'd bring down the whole internet in Baltimore.
  13. They seem pretty mad. Its actually comical when fans have no real basis for their bitterness and conspiracies so they start up the whole "that team is a disgrace" diatribe. If this actually happens we should pitch in and send the O's board a bunch of white t-shirts. "He doesn't just steal signs: He steals GM's" I doubt anything even happens.
  14. I'm going to assume the OP is around my age (~25) or older. Growing up we often used the term "goat" for the guy left with most or all of the blame when something goes wrong (probably taken from scapegoat.) Example: Reimer was the goat for the Leafs pathetic collapse against Boston. Not to be confused with GOAT (Greatest Of All Time.)
  15. I enjoyed this gem on the espn article: lirl at this response: Edit: Got beat on page 2
  16. Yeah, I'm not saying it's the reason. But some A's fan seem to think so. From Athletics Club: There's more on the mlb official forum. If there's any truth to it (being a reason for the trade)... the ownership is pretty stupid IMO. (Edit) Posts from the MLB forum:
  17. I apologize if this has been mentioned or if it's already common knowledge, as I skipped a few pages. A few A's fans from different forums think JD was traded because of a tweet he made. Apparently he was talking to a fan and said ownership was cheap?
  18. 2013 they spent prospects and money instead of just money.
  19. Long-time lurker here (I am familair with most of you from the old board, though I barely posted there either and completely swore it off when every thread started being created by dipshit dogg.) And I gotta say, friend; it was that good.
