  1. Ending wasn't cliche type - I thought it was realistic.
  2. I selected Brandon Morrow's slider. Hard to argue with 17 strikeouts.
  3. Can't edit the poll once it's posted.
  4. I forgot what kind of pitch it was and different sites have it listed as different things so I just gave up and put his fastball.
  5. The absolute filthiest pitch to ever be thrown from a Blue Jay. I didn't watch baseball before the 90's so can't really name any past that. If the name is not on the list you select other and write-in your vote. *Not serious
  6. I dunno, maybe if it includes Joe Carter's WS HR
  7. Don't forget Billy Koch
  8. Didn't know that. Most of the movie was made up. Even Peter Brand is a fictional character made up because the real analyst guy (Paul DePodesta) was not happy with their representation of him and didn't allow them to use his name. http://jerrygarrett.wordpress.com/2011/09/24/moneyballs-peter-brand-aka-paul-depodesta/ It also erked me the way they exclusively talked about OBP, but just have to accept that they were trying to appeal to a larger audience.
  9. I don't really care actually, just trying to redirect discussion to movies on the list.
  10. Probably the biggest inaccuracy about Moneyball was the whole sub-plot regarding Hatteberg not getting any playing time early in the season, which couldn't be more far from the truth. Infact, Hatteberg was playing every game from the very beginning of the season (started off as DH). But it did make the movie more entertaining having the GM and manager duke it out, so whatever, it's Hollywood.
  11. Both have identical ratings on IMDB (obviously not a baseball community) but thinking about that one again, I would agree with you and put it in place of The Babe.
  12. Why does every favorite list/poll end up being a bunch of whining about why this and that is not on the list? Just accept it or GTFO.
  13. Mr. Baseball, it nearly made my list, perhaps I should of done top 20
  14. Haven't seen either, so can't really rank them.
  15. Agreed, thinking about it more I might move it up.
  16. "3.05 (a) The pitcher named in the batting order handed the umpire-inchief, as provided in Rules 4.01 (a) and 4.01 (, shall pitch to the first batter or any substitute batter until such batter is put out or reaches first base, unless the pitcher sustains injury or illness which, in the judgment of the umpire-in-chief, incapacitates him from pitching."
  17. Actually would of put Mr. Baseball before Mr. 3000. Neither in top 15.
  18. You're right, once line-up card is given, starting pitcher declared has to pitch to at least first batter.
  19. Not in my top 15, close though
  20. lol, I have a feeling that's not legal.
  21. What's your favorite? Mr. Destiny is a bit of a stretch but I decided to include it. And no, The Natural is not in my top 15 (not even close).
  22. Pitches per AB 2011 - 4.1 2012-2013 - 3.7 2014 - 3.8 Looking strikes about the same as always. In 2011 he was getting himself into good counts (somehow)... i.e. 18% 3-1 counts. Since then he almost never gets good counts, i.e. 7.3% 3-1 counts . He hasn't hit a single LD yet this year. But the numbers don't tell as much as just watching him. He's not making good contact, his timing looks off. Hopefully it's like last year but this year he heats up sooner.
