  1. If old Globe Life Park is still up and running, why not play there for the year? Seems like an easy solution. Would get their own park too. I haven’t seen what Texas’ Covid numbers are like tho. So maybe it’s completely out of the question.
  2. Got a viagra stuck in his throat.
  3. I know, I thought that Acuna had more than 26 so Vlad would be a lock for 30. But, alas, Acuna “only” had....26. We’ll see!
  4. I just made a bet with a friend that Vladdy hits 25 homers or more. I’m starting to think I should have taken the under.
  5. It would depend entirely on history, the severity of the assault, the safety of the victim/ witnesses and the likelyhood of him reoffending. Without any knowledge of the case (assuming the above factors are satisfied)I’d say he’s looking at release on an recognizance with conditions to not contact her, attend court, etc. He’s already likely out, but tbh I haven’t read any of the facts of the case in the news.
  6. This was a last stop to fill the spot since I knew the team would likely have an elite manager. Crisis averted.
  7. Spoken for! Mods may delete this thread.
  8. Hey everyone, don't post here often but I do read a lot of content on here. Im in need of one person to take the final and last spot for my fantasy baseball league. Its head to head and have 11 spots filled. Draft is tonight, at 7:30 Sask time (9:30 EST). Buy in is $50 and its not a keeper league. Sorry for making a new thread for this. Let me know if youre at all interested. Go Jays! Were gonna be sneaky good this year.
  9. Stroman had the ump all:
  10. Agreed. Another external factor is the addition of Kimrel and Price to the Sox and Chapman to the Yankees. How that affects overall runs produced may not be significant, but it could tip the scales. Everything considered and not to mention this is EE and Bautista's walk year, I think we exceed 900.
  11. Sorry if this question has been talked about. I'm sure it has. I just made a bet with family that our offence will score more than 850 runs. He thinks I'm crazy, that to replicate last year is nuts. I say the lineup is the same whilst the pitch recognition and protection the lineup offers is similar to the 2009 Yankees (barring injury). What are your guys' thoughts? I usually only read here and almost never post. Go Jays!
  12. This might work mid season but I'm not giving him AB's to get his timing back. Bring Shultz to chuck him some 97 mph heaters during BP to get it back. And make sure he takes the breaking ball machine home. Make him shower, sleep and cook with it.
  13. Seriously. He made a gravy pick at first with that nasty hop to keep that one inning for Estrada manageable. He also hit the ball hard what? 3 times tonight with one hit to show for it. Colas job to lose now.
  14. Volquez pitched very well. Buck and Reynolds were so hot over his velocity but it was his outside fastball command which lead to his success. Home plate umpire called a good game too. Buck and Reynolds may lead me to muting the tube for the rest of the series. So hot for KC.
  15. You might be right, but it sure makes her more interesting.
  16. My friends and I dubbed her Beatrice. She usually has a male escort and knitting tools on her.
  17. I think people in general try to figure out too soon whether a GM is good or bad. There are those who are/ always have been superb and those who are terrible, but IMO AA fits between those two ranges. I think he's matured into a smarter GM than he was circa 2012 and has always had the ability to build a farm. I sincerely hope Shapiro extends AA for his ability to do that and make trades that benefit the team.
  18. Hey man, in Moneyball the A's lost an 11 run lead. Subs are for chumps. Pour it on.
  19. At this pace for the Angels O, they'll be calling Mo Vaugh.
  20. That's actually Smoak in his Colabello costume.
