    According to shi davidi's article on sportsnet he says this potential trade would have brought back a starting pitcher for the jays. Doesn't matter now I guess but it would be fun to guess who the pitcher could have been. Maybe Holland?

    Depending on how much it would take to get Morrison I would actually be fine with having him at 1B/DH and he could even play the occasional LF as long as we are able to fill another hole (2B) with trading Lind or if a team is offering a good prospect for Lind, either way I think AA will sell high on Lind if he trades him

    Alex seems to always be fairly busy and active during the meetings, what possible moves do you guys see AA making this week? I think he makes a deal for a starting pitcher (either shark,Anderson or dare I say it price) and hopefully signs a 2B (Ellis, Infante)

    I believe he played a year with Garza in Tampa. Get Hinske and Navarro to persuade Garza to come here

    If there was to be a price trade to the mets than one of wheeler or syndergard would have to be involved so I wouldn't rule it out completely. It would be a nightmare for syndergard to go to the rays and pitch lights out, it would make the dickey trade look even worse

    I could see a possible deal with the yankees for one of their extra OF. Wells/ichiro/Gardner to Philly for Papelpon -Philly gets needed outfield depth and yankees get a proven closer to replace Rivera. Both teams exchange bad contracts (if the trade is one of wells/ichiro)

    Yankees now have an outfield of ichiro,Ellsbury,Beltran with Soriano at DH, so where does that leave Gardner? Bench I guess is the most likely option I guess he always seemed like he could be a starter to me

    I don't think much is lost between Lincoln and Rasmussen and I think Kratz is a better option in AAA than Nikeus or Jimenez to call up in case of an injury, so all in all id say it's a pretty good little trade.

    Although it may not be today one interesting quote from mlbtr was this: 3:08pm: The Athletics aren't going to trade Anderson today, tweets John Hickey of the Bay Area News Group (on Twitter). However, the A's are seeking bullpen depth. If the A's are seeking bullpen depth for Anderson the jays could definitely offer up some relievers. In fact I think a santos for Anderson 1 for 1 swap is pretty fair, both have big injury history but both can be effective when they are playing to their potential and both fill a hole for both teams.

    Kenny says A's about to deal Seth smith to padres so we don't have to worry about Anderson being the next move anymore

    I have a feeling the trade rosenthal is referring to does involve Anderson and I wouldn't be shocked to see the blue jays get him. We have been rumored to have interest in Anderson for a while now and I could see AA buying low on him because I don't think the A's will ask for much back. Anderson would be a good #4/5 IMO, in a perfect world we acquire and sign a FA like garza to be a #2. Dickey Garza Buerhle Morrow Anderson
