  1. I know I need to be more precise: I was surprised that he's so affected that he couldn't contain his emotions during a interview. He was often frustrating to watch at the plate, but he was always all oyt playing defense, diving, hitting the wall, sacrificing his body & health for our team. Great guy.
  2. Sure. I understand all that. But how often you see a player in tears when they got traded? I can only remember Wayne Gretzky.
  3. Although I wanted Pillar to be traded 'cause we're in rebuilding, I actually feel sad to see him go now. He's been a good defensive CF and a key part of our 2015-2016 playoof runs. For a so late round draft, he turned to be a good player for US and earned a few millions $ for him in the process. A sucess story.
  4. I loved watching Pillar on the field, he made so many hignlight diving/leaping grabs. But it's definetly unpeasant to see him at the plate.
  5. Cheap ass Giants. They don't want to give up anything good for GG Pillar. lol
  6. I know it's early and it's only the Tigers, but I'm happily surprised by our pitching
  7. Jays 66 wins RedSox AL Phillies NL RedSox beats Phillies
  8. Sleeper: Chavez Young Bust: T.J Zeuch Legit: JJordan Groshans
  9. Great! I like our youth movement, even though we're paying Tulo, Martin and Morales to play elsewhere.
  10. - Stroman has ERA around 3.oand gets traded at thedeadline - Luciano stays with Jays - Vlad OPS 900+,wins ROY
  11. Our 2020 lineup will be exciting to watch: Vald, Bo, Jjansen, Tellez, Gurriel ..++
  12. Stroman the professional! providing (entertainment) value even in the off season! Seriously I hope he pitches well this year and gets traded @trade deadline.
  13. Well we have to pay him weather we keep him on the team or not. Considering we're not competing next year, I'd rather let guys like Gurriel play out the reason to see if we can count on them in the future. He's worth of a spot on the roster only if he put up a decent season and be traded at the deadline. The probability of that happening is not high I guess and he has a Non-trade clause BTW. So yes I rather have Luciano than Tulo on the team, as there's potential he can be a useful piece for us in a few years.
  14. Tulo hasn't played for us for almost 2 years. The FO probably doesn't think he can be any good on the field. And we need a spot on the 25 man rsoter to keep Luciano. I take it as we traded Tulo for Luciano with all his money paid by the Jays of course and I'm quite happy with it.
  15. He will pitch in some blowout games. 38 IP 5.08 ERA 1.39 WHIP 32 Ks 18 BBs
  16. Are Astros OF really that good or has been extremely luck with their trades to acquire their 2 best pitchers(Verlander/Cole)? Wish we could have the same luck too...
  17. wow! can't believe what's happening.
  18. What happened to Barnes? He's been s*** this year and he was pretty good last year. I know RPs are volatiles but still
  19. SRF having a heck of a game. Nice to see.
  20. That really hurts if it's true.
  21. Tellez the future!
  22. I'd like us to trade Pillar et let Grichuk play CF. He seems to have more promising bat then Pillar.
  23. I don't see us signing bif FA pitchers this coming off-season for 2 reasons: 1. next season will be a transition year. Our focus probably will be to find out which young players we can count on in the future. 2. We don't have budget for it. We'll still be paying big $s to martin/Tulo/Morales next season but we'll have a bunch to spend the year after, I think that's when we'll make a splash in FA markets.
