  1. However he got Juan Francisco.
  2. Sorry about the 100 games left. I've corrected it. We need a big July. We need a big July or we're cooked. This is the f'n season right here. I'm thinking if we can get by TB and NY by July 31 and be within 3 of Baltimore, we'll be well on our way. 26 games this month. Let's turn it up a notch. Some guy around June 1 on the old board thought the team could go 19-6 in the next 25 games. The next 25 games takes us to the end of the month. I don't got an ex wife who always said I was wrong but that's ok. This is for that other guys ex-wife. f*** you. Here it is. Favorable schedule. Starting pitchers rounding into form. 17-8 baby. 17-8. That's what I got. 17-8 for an 18-8 July. That's what we got to do.
  3. 80 games left. 91 wins is looking like it could be enough for one of the wildcards. 50 and 30 baby is what it's gonna take. Let's be optimistic here. Dickey may have found his form as an ace. JJ has been real good as of late and Mark B has been pretty consistent after his poor beginning. He'll get you into the 7th with around 4 ER every start about. That's a good 1-2 punch and B aint bad as a 3. Rogers has been a godsend but I don't think he can last past mid August due to an innings cap. And the 5th starter is one big ?. We sure as hell got the candidates but who knows if any one of them will be any good, or healthy even. 5 minutes ago when I began writing this I thought we might have a shot. But I can't even convince myself. We don't have enough starting pitching. Oakland and Texas figure to keep being good due to their poor ass division meaning one wins the West and the other gets one of the wildcards. I think we can get past NY and Tampa but won't catch up to Baltimore. Too much shrapnel flying around the AL East to really man up and go through it all. I think the Jays can get to 86 wins and that's it. God f***ing dammit.
  4. Bautista E5 Delabar Lind Cecil McGowan Wang Rasmus? Cabrera? Dickey?
  5. I like your work Kirk, but it's not like Izturis and DeRosa are must haves in the lineup. He was trying to get Boni going. I'm not going to hang him out considering the other options he had.
  6. John Gibbons is the man. First of all, the guy just looks like a baseball manager. Put him in a lineup, ask 10 people to pick out the baseball manager and all ten would pick Gibby 10 times out of 10. When he walks out to the mound to change the pitcher he has all the moves and mannerisms down. Maybe he was a bust as a catcher, but he's not as a big league manager. He's kept this group together well. This is a team that came in with massive expectations. MASSIVE. A lot of people were picking us to win the East and then we don't get any starting pitching, we don't hit, and by May 10 we're 12 games under 500. I think a lot of managers might have cracked under the pressure of s***ing the bed so massively and started doing something detrimental to the team. Look what happened to Valentine last year calling guys out. Things snowballed and got worse. But Gibby kept it together and he's reaping the rewards now. His bullpen work has been phenemonal and he's doing a good job getting the right people the proper playing time. Players know their roles and are performing. Great job by Gibbons so far.
