  1. Agreed. With the second wild-card in place, mid-august would make sense.
  2. i wouldn't be surprised to see johnson on the dl after this game. let this guy stay in california for a couple weeks, please.
  3. Makes perfect sense. So does any one know the rule on undrafted high schoolers? With 500K of pool money left, they could sign an entire team if they give 125K - 150K each.
  4. I now understand why teams throw picks on elite unsignable players in the later rounds. Basically to stop other teams from giving them what they want with no consequence. There HAS to be a rule where any undrafted player given more than $100K are subject to the pool. What's stopping the Jays from giving the top 10 UFA high schoolers $250K or more each? We all know they can afford it. Hell, I could have hired Garrett Custons for my ball team, if thats the going rate.
  5. If had to choose between Bickford or Morgan, I'd choose Morgan. So taking him with the 11th pick doesn't sound at all bad. Maybe a scenario of reaching for Morgan at 11 for underslot, and saving money for later picks like this year could be in the cards for next years draft as well.
  6. Where is he ranked? I've seen some lists with him in the 20s. I remember seeing lists with Hollon in the top 10. Has he been dropping like him?
  7. would love to see at least a couple of these guys signed. getting the two columbian pitchers would be great to see. Bernal I read somewhere went to a canadian boarding school. 1. Yimmelvyn Alonzo, SS, 6'1" 185lbs, R/R, Dominican Republic 6. Luis Enrique Barrios, LHP, 6'3" 190lbs, Colombia 7. Gabriel Noguera, LHP, 6'2" 173lbs, Venezuela 8. Felix Osorio, 3B/OF, 6'3" 190lbs, R/R, Domincan Republic 9. Ihan Bernal, C/3B, 6'0" 190lbs, L/R, Panama 10.Ozhaino Albies, SS, 5'7" 133lbs, S/R, Curacao 11.Erling Moreno, RHP, 6'3" 190lbs, Colombia
  8. how long until every mlb team has a european summer league squad with similar aged players as the DSL? with that said, are there any european players on the radar? other than Garparini from Italy. I think they should sign Vadim Balan an RHP from Moldova. Why? Cause that would be awesome.
