No... CFL is probably the sport that i enjoy watching the most. It's a lot more entertaining than baseball and a lot quicker than NFL.
If CFL could switch places with NFL that would be ideal but i don't see that happening anytime soon...
Not sure why you think Argos are in the way of anything, SkyDome was built as a multipurpose venue not a baseball only. On top of that, if they really wanted they could easily have grass and keep the Argos.
It is pro because they are getting paid for doing that. Besides, the NFL looks at the CFL as a serious league and they don't want to be in the way of the CFL, in their view, putting a team in Toronto is like having 2 NFL teams at the same space.
I'm sure it's worth while but you make it a lot more than it really is. They maybe break even on the Jays.
The reason why they invest in the Jays is because they want to be competitive in the content they are offering which is always why they spent 6 bill on NHL rights.
Did you guys notice how Hendrick didn't get a lot of calls early in the game? To me it looked like Navarro was annoyed by where Hendricks threw it and as a result received it badly and the ump called it ball.
I haven't been to other football stadiums so i can't really compare but i've sat at the lower bowl a few times and it felt too close sometimes. The general complaint for Argo fans is that it's too big for the number of crowds that we can draw in so it doesn't have the atmosphere you get in other venues.
I've been to both Jays and Argos games in both cases where it was empty (15-20k) and when it was full and in both scenarios it was A LOT more louder in the Argos games.
What's wrong with the RC? I actually think it's more suited for CFL than it is baseball. In baseball you want all the seats to be pointing home plate, in football you want all the seats to be pointing at the middle. In RC they point at the middle.
I think it's a complete BS they can't have grass and the Argos at the same time. They play something like 9-11 home games a year, if you can't adjust the seats/whatever to the way it should when you know they play so few games then something is wrong with you.
We actually won 7-2, tagged 6 runs on him and Reyes hit him for a lead off home run in the first inning, which is probably why you see those guys standing up while the rest are upset.
