Considering the fact that the Royals are hitting about 1/3rd of the home runs that we are hitting, shouldn't their pick be worth a lot more than 1 or 2 points? Butler hitting a home run and Edwin hitting a bomb is not really a fair competition to be honest.

Velocity wise it could have been a curveball, slider is usually faster. It was around 82 mph.

Stroman's slider is better than Santos, just saying.

They will not trade for Shields unless they can extend him which i doubt it. -
I see your point, my favorite team is the Cardinals and they too build around defense. Having said that, it really bugs me that you can sometime spend a whole quarter of the game on 1 drive, that is insane.

Wait, if they DFA him, doesn't it mean they have a time frame in which they can think about what to do with him? My thinking was they let Stroman pitch tomorrow and then send him down and bring back Korecky because they are still in that time frame. -

Yea i'm not really comparing as it's fairly different on quite a few levels but just saying that 1.5 million viewers to a CFL team that had another GTA team and this year there will be another Ontario team is pretty significant. Add to that the fact that Blue Jays is Canada's team and you see that quite a few people like the Argos and the CFL.

Not really few though, their ratings are pretty good. The last number of games had around 1.5 million viewers. In comparison, the Jays game against the A's on Sunday had about 660k viewers.
