    Basically, you need to hit well for a lot more PA's than what Mayberry Jr. has against lefties to be considered an actual platoon bat. Example: Adam Lind. Lind has hit very well against RHP for more than 2700 PA's, therefore he should be considered a good platoon bat against those pitchers.

    I don't know if this works the same way (it probably does) but his HR/FB% is way below his career average, currently at 6.6%, he should be expected to bounce back to career averages.

    His stats suggest he has been too reliant on his defense, which is usually a recipe for future failure. It's not a big deal atm, most of us just don't want that 4MM option to be picked up.
