  1. 4 runs is easily achievable with this lineup. We're still very much in this game.
  2. Probably too risky, if Wieters sees the ball right away Pillar is out by a mile.
  3. Tulo's not even breaking a sweat out there.
  4. Okay? So 2 runs is an unsurmountable deficit against a rookie starter?
  5. It was 2-0 Orioles minutes ago, FFS not everything is the end of the world.
  6. For f***'s sake Bautista, that's just horrible.
  7. Revere always gets the high strike calls, wtf?
  8. No it isn't, it's more of an issue of Greinke being really lucky rather than Kershaw being unlucky. Greinke has benefited from a .235 BABIP, he has a 1.59 ERA compared to a 2.62 FIP and 3.21 (!!!) xFIP resulting from a lucky 6.0% HR/FB. He also has the highest LOB% of his career at 85.9%. Kershaw gets far more strikeouts, a similar walk rate, more groundballs, and much, much better fielding independent metrics. Kershaw has been better and it isn't even close.
  9. Top 10 payroll in MLB, omg sell the team Rogers are such cheapos!
  10. Miguel Gonzalez? He sucks, why would you want the Orioles to skip him against the Jays?
  11. A classic position vs position comparison: C: Jason Castro/Hank Conger > Bobby Wilson/Chris Gimenez 1B: Mitch Moreland/Mike Napoli > Chris Carter 2B: Jose Altuve >> Rougned Odor 3B: Adrian Beltre (if healthy) >> Luis Valbuena/Jed Lowrie SS: Carlos Correa >>> Elvis Andrus LF: Colby Rasmus/Preston Tucker > Josh Hamilton (if fully healthy, this could be flipped) CF: Carlos Gomez >> Delino Deshields Jr. RF: George Springer (if healthy) >> Shin-Soo Choo SP1: Dallas Keuchel > Cole Hamels SP2: Scott Kazmir > Derek Holland SP3-SP5: Mike Fiers, Lance McCullers, Collin McHugh >> Yovani Gallardo, Colby Lewis, Martin Perez Bullpen: Astros >>> Rangers, the Astros are 9th in xFIP, the Rangers are last. I don't really see how the Rangers are better at all.
  12. I think the Astros are a much better team than the Rangers. Keuchel induces a ton of groundballs, which is probably not great for this lineup.
  13. Agreed, Greinke and MadBum aren't even close IMO.
  14. Nothing against Greinke, but his ERA needs to regress if the best pitcher is truly going to win the Cy Young in the NL. Kershaw deserves it.
  15. Am I the only one who clapped? Great f***ing job Kershaw, best pitcher in baseball.
  16. Wow ump, FFS. Kershaw still hitting 95 at 130 pitches, wow.
