  1. Well Kenley Jansen isn't exactly solidifying his case for a bunch of high leverage innings in the postseason.
  2. This is an awesome pitching duel.
  3. He should be a lock but unfortunately in 2018 people still value W-L record for pitchers
  4. His FIP- is 77, for comparison Kluber has a 3.13 FIP which translates to a 74 FIP- in Cleveland. Chris Sale and deGrom both have sub 50 FIP- which is absurd, with the latter of course doing it over 60 more innings.
  5. Josh Hader is so f***ing good.
  6. Here I thought the Brewers were dumb for starting Orlando Arcia and of course he's 4-4 lol.
  7. Don't think so, maybe he was baiting a throw so Cain could go home or he wasn't expecting a throw because of that. Really poor decision though.
  8. Horrible pitch, Contreras wanted that inside as a ball and he leaves it right down the middle.
  9. Well that probably signals Hader for two innings. The Cubs are f***ed, especially with Yelich coming up.
  10. Does anyone know if today's teams are on 25-man or expanded rosters format? I imagine it's the former but would like some confirmation since this technically isn't a playoff game.
  11. I'm just not really a fan of Frazier, Heaney is solid but I don't think he's amazing and Votto could still easily be a top 50 player for the next two years. Or he could be a .130 ISO guy going forward with very underwhelming counting stats, basically Lorenzo Cain minus the steals playing first base; I certainly wouldn't peg him for that though.
  12. I think it's the latter two points that might have made this auction an unfavourable one for NJH, the season just ended and we're too far away from significant offseason moves to gain the amount of interest that a Joey Votto auction could have generated. I think the key to starting an auction is to already have a good deal offered to you as you fallback plan if no one ponies up anything better.
  13. Retiring his number is a bit far but he definitely deserves the level of excellence I think.
  14. Part of it is that I carried Danny Jansen all year and he seems to have made it worth it.
  15. Diego Castillo just threw the most casual 101.
  16. Will also listen on Correa, obviously he won't be cheap.
  17. He's been consistently one of the top 3 catchers in the league since 2016 but okay.
  18. There's gonna be sample size and confirmation bias there, but it should be recognized that after Kyle Schwarber's offseason where he got into much better shape, he's rated as both a positive defender and runner this year, while not losing anything out of his offense. Good for him, his hard work really paid off.
  19. There's probably enough tie-breaker rules in place where this won't be necessary I imagine. I could be wrong though.
  20. Oakland is gonna abuse their bullpen and rightfully so, they are elite.
  21. I'm definitely content with both 1-2 picks.
