He was an obvious troll, there's no denying that. But what made him successful was being constantly negative and pessimistic on anything related to the Blue Jays, and it was rather believable.

This is why I worry sometimes in the 4th. Sure this game doesn't really count, but it wasn't uncommon for Casey to throw out Salmons and Novak and Hayes for a large portion of the 4th, including the last minute.
