I too went to the 5-1 game described above. That Tuesday, My wife and I were sitting around the Montreal DMV, with about a hundred people ahead of us in like.
My wife asked me what time it was, and I replied "It's 7 hours until Blue Jays."
"Where are they playing tonight?"
"Boston."
Then we joked about how we could make it there in time for the game if we left at that moment.
Seven hours later we were in Fenway Park for the first time ever.
The game was great, the Jays fans were everywhere, and the Sox fans were welcoming. We ended up buying tickets from season ticket holders with two extra seats just a few rows back from the Jays dugout. We paid half for those seats than what I paid for Spring Training seats in the Montreal games earlier this year.
My only complaint is that parking is ridiculous. 50 American for a lot anywhere near Fenway is standard.
