  1. I too went to the 5-1 game described above. That Tuesday, My wife and I were sitting around the Montreal DMV, with about a hundred people ahead of us in like. My wife asked me what time it was, and I replied "It's 7 hours until Blue Jays." "Where are they playing tonight?" "Boston." Then we joked about how we could make it there in time for the game if we left at that moment. Seven hours later we were in Fenway Park for the first time ever. The game was great, the Jays fans were everywhere, and the Sox fans were welcoming. We ended up buying tickets from season ticket holders with two extra seats just a few rows back from the Jays dugout. We paid half for those seats than what I paid for Spring Training seats in the Montreal games earlier this year. My only complaint is that parking is ridiculous. 50 American for a lot anywhere near Fenway is standard.
  2. Cito was amazing in the early 90s. I remember how pumped I was when the Jays re-hired him. It was basically like re-hiring a World Series. But then we saw that Cito was insane. He was insane, yet managed to be a premier employee of a major league baseball team. Being a manager of a Major League Baseball team may be easier than any job any of us will ever have. What I love about Gibbons is that he knows this, but he'd never admit to it. But if you ever asked him about it, you can bet your ass his witty response would involve a wink.
  3. Obviously it was Kawasaki. He loves talking to the media, and he's been practicing his Engrish every day.
  4. Good to see Ricky Ro back in biz. Even he admits his problems are all mental. They attempted to re-vamp his mechanics and the results were vomit-inducing. Maybe now that he's gone back to his old mechanics he'll be mentally associating the way he pitches moving forward with the winning ways of the past, and associate the horror that has been 2013 with the failed attempt at re-inventing himself.
  5. Yeah...but he finally got a walk today! With two outs and nobody on.
  6. Even if he throws a good game, at least we know he's gonna get his ass paddled by Ben Affleck after the game. http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view4/1900946/mitch-kramer-paddled-o.gif
  7. Matt strikes me as a Rod Black type, someone that will suddenly start broadcasting everything from basketball to Ping Pong.
