  1. I mean, we're talking $12-16M, I know contracts have been all over the place recently, but that's like Alex Cobb/Danny Duffy money, not paying him to be an ace or anything. The health issue is, of course, a concern, and if you think you can pick up an equally good pitcher at that price on the open market (which, these days who the f*** knows?) then sure, do that.
  2. Based on the assumption that we could extend him cheaper than it would cost to get a comparable pitcher on the open market. If he's somehow commanding like $20M per, then obviously not, but if we could lock him up at like 5/$60-80M or so I'd do that. I'm comfortable with him as a #3 starter for a few years.
  3. Extend Stroman, Sanchez and Smoak. In the current market, that's what we should do for sure.
  4. Yeah, I like the idea of Tellez, but Smoak just seems like a better bet to be a useful piece.
  5. Probably, might actually be a tad low when he regresses...
  6. So the answer "since Kendrys Morales can't really be a productive offensive player anymore, do you think he can pitch?" has been answered...
  7. Holy f***, I'm so happy to see all of Rowdy's friends and family. If the reporting is accurate, almost 500 people there just for him? That's f***ing amazing.
  8. Man, singles just do not score a run from 2nd with this OF...
  9. Literally nobody? Sending him down is certainly possible, but he wouldn't be DFA'd, no chance.
  10. Love the "Let's Get Rowdy" sign his friends/family had up there.
  11. That was just not at all what I wanted to see.
  12. He's been a slightly below average hitter by wRC+ in the past 2 years, sure he's not great, but he's not as bad as you're making him out to be. Having him bunt there probably created a worse result than having him swing away.
  13. I'm not saying he's good, I'm saying he's more likely to create positive production by swinging away than he is by giving up an out.
  14. It's the 3rd inning in the AL, a sac bunt is stupid 100% of the time in the 3rd inning of a game in the AL.
  15. And they'll all say it "worked" 'cause we got one run. But Maile has the ability to shoot a double into the gap and score 2 with no outs... So, I mean, yay that we're winning, but boo that we wasted an out.
  16. Maile isn't an auto-out, that sac bunt was so f***ing stupid.
