Yeah, i watched the game. Sportsnet has the rights to the Bundesliga games so they show all the Bayern games and Dazn has the rights to the Champions League games so i have lots of access to the Bayern games. The goal was just a tap in but he was incredible when he was on, blowing by players 1 on 1. He set up Lewy who should have scored, and blew by a player 1 on 1 in the box and almost scored again.
Bayern is not in on Kane anymore after the I. Perisic and P. Coutinho signings. They played Davies a lot at left back and it appears that's where they view him long term and with rumors this off season of a David Alba transfer they could be looking at him as the long term replacement. I don't really get that as Davies pace and dibbling makes him so unique and exciting as a winger. (Kovac often has sprinting challenges in practice and it's been reported Davies is the clear cut fastest player on Bayern)
His goal vs Tottenham is probably his best goal at Bayern: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tG_HjRP_k2I <-- he hit that ball with his weak foot.
In terms of playing time it's still a bit dicey. S. Gnerby and K. Coman have established themselves as some of the top wingers in the Bundesliga and now you have Perisic in the mix too. He's gotten significant mins in 2/3 Bundesliga games so far though so that's nice and Bayern appears to be comfortable playing him multiple positions so that opens things up to.
My ultimate wet dream would see Davies get loaned out to my fav team Ajax but i have since learned part of the reason Davies took less money to go to Bayern was because they promised not to loan him and promised him first team mins right away which is something Liverpool and Manchester United while offering more money would not promise anything. So it appears Davies will stay on Bayern for the foreseeable future.
In other news, i really like Arsenal this morning in a high scoring game.
