I don't think we have to retain Melky. Personally, i think he's going to get over paid. All his value comes in his bat and i think you can find the 2-3 wins more efficiently. Honestly wouldn't you rather use the savings from Melky + move the 5 million from Navarro and use that $ get to Russell Martin. I think you do whatever it takes to get Martin. Find a cheap platoon LF who can hit RHP and platoon him with Mayberry JR. Obviously we can't be having platoons at every position so if we were able to get Martin i would be fine with running Gose out there every day in CF and using a platoon in LF. If Gose can even hit 80 wRC+ he would probably be worth close to 2 wins over a season with his defense and base running.

Anyone think Justin Turner of the Dodgers could be available? If the Dodgers resign Hanley Ramirez their going to have a surplus of IF's. Dodgers have s*** at catcher and maybe Navarro peaks their interest? Justin Turner for Navarro? Turner would be a real nice fit at 2nd and can SS/3rd too.

BigJohn could probably answer this better but I wouldn't worry about how many players on a certain team you have. It's about finding max points per $ spent. Now there's going to be situations ( visiting team in coors) where you find there's a bunch of players on the same team (like in your example) that your going to pick and there's nothing wrong I think with that.

How did everyone do in NFL this past Weekend? I scored 115.58 with the above lineup that i posted. Good enough to place in top 30% but not enough to win any of the big tournament's obviously. Seemed you need to be in the 150 range. Highest score i saw 189.
