    Fair. But i think his point behind the post was correct. Melky and Nick are over valued because of their bat. We can add a similar player in overall value at a fraction of the cost.

    I'm fine with a Dirks/Pillar platoon as long as we address/upgrade other needs.

    This. So many better ways to efficiently add a 1.5 to 2.5 fWAR player. Aoki or trade for Saunders are my preferred options for LF.

    I would agree if Ichiro was Chinese or Korean. The Japanese population in Toronto is very small. ...pass on Ichiro he's pretty much replacement level at this point in his career.
