    Yeah that's a good point. An Elite player would indeed have a much bigger impact with 5 players being on the court at one time and the best players playing most of the game (as you said). So yeah, I guess basketball WAR for that reason alone would be much higher.

    Yeah that's why I was surprised when I read an article projecting Cousins WAR for the next 6 years. The article quoted something like 46 or something so I wanted to see how that compared to other players for context because 46 Wins over 6 years in baseball would just be nuts to project.

    Knowing the Jays it's probably more like.... 1. Jays report a mild strain and he's day to day. 2. After a few weeks it's reported it's a tear and he will miss the first few weeks of season. 3. May rolls around and now it's reported he has flesh eating disease and his career is over.
