Yes, a month. So very long. Disappointing job by the Jays this year. But hey, still plenty of season left. Maybe Ryan Goins can carry us to a wildcard slot.

That's ridiculous. It's hard to say Drabek had any value when healthy, now after his second TJ? Ackley still has plenty of value and I really doubt the Mariners are going to sell low on him. If Gose hadn't been such a disappointment so far this year I would suggest a Colby/Ackley swap with maybe a bench player or something extra to the Jays.

I think you're forgetting the opposing team in these trades. Where is Bautista going to play? No room for Johnson in the rotation(well actually that's debatable) but regardless he still isn't enough of an upgrade for either of those prospects to be parted with.
-
Why would you think the Cards aren't high on Wong? Outside of his walk rate he has been fantastic this year. It's fair to say his stock has rose.
-
Wong for Stroman? A potentially solid second baseman for a likely really good reliever? And where would Stroman play anyway? Already a logjam in the bullpen. Plus lets not forget the whole PED debacle that undoubtedly concerns other organizations, especially one as well run as the Cardinals.
-
Castellanos? Why not just go all the way and trade Janssen for Castellanos, Verlander, Fister and Scherzer? I mean, he is a 31 YO reliever after all. Who wouldn't want to trade a top prospect in baseball ++ for him?
