  1. Ugh, why are you getting responses?
  2. - And honesty, Drabek has exceeded expectations thus far off two Tommy John Surgeries and I'd bet that he'd be enough to land Chris Owings from Arizona. Owings could be the 24th-25th man, if not beat out Izturis at 2b. He'd certainly be the 2b of the future, if not the shortstop down the road. 26, coming off his second TJ, and was absolutely horrible before injury. Not to mention D backs are loaded with pitching. Doubt Drabek would even land Tuffy Gosewich(?)
  3. * * * * * * * * * Yes, a month. So very long. Disappointing job by the Jays this year. But hey, still plenty of season left. Maybe Ryan Goins can carry us to a wildcard slot.
  4. Pulling for a Cabrera injury. Only chance Trout doesn't get robbed two years in a row....

  6. - That's ridiculous. It's hard to say Drabek had any value when healthy, now after his second TJ? Ackley still has plenty of value and I really doubt the Mariners are going to sell low on him. If Gose hadn't been such a disappointment so far this year I would suggest a Colby/Ackley swap with maybe a bench player or something extra to the Jays.
  7. - I'm not sure if any of those players are even worth Hector Gimenez.
  8. - I think you're forgetting the opposing team in these trades. Where is Bautista going to play? No room for Johnson in the rotation(well actually that's debatable) but regardless he still isn't enough of an upgrade for either of those prospects to be parted with. - Why would you think the Cards aren't high on Wong? Outside of his walk rate he has been fantastic this year. It's fair to say his stock has rose. - Wong for Stroman? A potentially solid second baseman for a likely really good reliever? And where would Stroman play anyway? Already a logjam in the bullpen. Plus lets not forget the whole PED debacle that undoubtedly concerns other organizations, especially one as well run as the Cardinals.
  9. - Sure, lower level prospect that is completely irrelevant value. But in these trades that are being proposed certainly not.
  10. - Yep, especially when Arencibia, Bonifacio, etc are in a hypothetical trade as if they have any value.
  11. Well, no Kelly Johnson makes this easy. - http://cutoruncut.files.wordpress.com/2011/07/colby-rasmus-brendan-ryan-2009-8-16-20-40-54.jpg
  12. - Castellanos? Why not just go all the way and trade Janssen for Castellanos, Verlander, Fister and Scherzer? I mean, he is a 31 YO reliever after all. Who wouldn't want to trade a top prospect in baseball ++ for him?

  17. ? Wainwright, Miller, Wacha, Martinez, Wacha, Rosenthal, Lynn.
  18. - No, he's just not that great, injured, and expensive. Not sure why anyone would expect him in the first.
  19. Stanek pick very similar to Wacha pick. leggo Cards...
  20. Overreacting, Bickford is a really good pick.
  21. - I don't see how Manaea could possibly go in the first round. 5-10 rounds are probably more accurate.
  22. - C: Joe Mauer 1B: Justin Smoak 2B: Josh Rutledge 3B: Matt Dominguez SS: Tulo LF: Kelly Johnson CF: Drew Stubbs RF: Michael Morse - SP: Michael Wacha RP: Keith Butler
