Osuna to nationals for Robles of, Glover rhp, and Watson lhp. Donaldson to Red Sox for Devers 3b, Johnson lhp, and reclamation Trey Bell rhp. Just a dream to actually turn these assets into legit top prospects. Could you imagine having 4 of the top 10 prospects in all of baseball. Plus a good pick in next years draft. We really need to reload our pitching though and these proposals are position player heavy. This won't sell seats in the dome for 4-5 years but I'm willing to wait. I know proposal posts are lame but it's fun to dream. As you can see from my proposal I have no problem dealing with Bos or NYY. Donaldson is going to break down let them pay him 20+ million a year.

Question for you guys. What's the outlook on Edward Olivares? 21 in low A. 14 doubles, 8 triples, 10 hr with 14 sb's. Seems like he has lots of tools but doesn't get talked about behind the big 2. Only played 15 games last year and 53 in the last 2 after hitting .313 in the DSL as a 17 year old.

The real question is would you rather have a tandem of TDA/Navarro and Syndergaard in AAA then Dickey and Thole in the bigs. Pretty easy answer. -
But hitting .221/.286/.725 with a 33% K rate after 5 years in the majors is considered good?

Pillar>Rasmus I'm so sick of watching rasmus swing through pitches and put up terrible at bat after at bat. Let him walk have a Gose/Pillar Platoon for the first half next year and then hopefully pompey can make his appearence.

Any word on why Pompey was pulled last game? I find it strange that "leg cramps" keep you out for 3 games and then again 2 games later.

Norris isn't scheduled to start in the next 3 games either as per the fishercat website. I don't know if they are using all these rain outs to lower his pitch count but pitching on 10 days rest seems counter productive.

Kindly enjoy watching Happ pitch again tonight! Alvarez at 21 with 2 pitches is better then Happ. Norris at 21 with 4 pitches is better then Happ. If we miss out on a playoff spot by 2 games and Norris could have won you those is it not logical to use him? Or do you just lose because you don't want to rush your young player because of some unwritten rule.

Major League Baseball is stupid. Who knows if Norris could help us this year because he will never get the chance. Baseball is so set in their ways stepping prospects through levels. If Norris is a better pitcher then Happ why isn't he pitching instead of him? I don't care whose older or who has more experience, I want the best pitcher we have available pitching.

At this point I could not handle trading Norris, the upside is to high. I would do Sanchez, Stilson, Pompey. If thats not enough I'm out.

The umping was pretty bad all game but that last Gose at bat to end the game was brutal. He should have been walked on 4 pitches and not one of them could even be considered borderline. Having one of the fastest baserunners in the game and tying run at 1st would have been nice, but Baker wanted to go back to his hotel room and collect his payoff.

Haven't heard a single word on either of the top 2 picks. I wonder if the blue jays low balled both of them and now they are in a stale mate where really neither side has any power. Player doesn't want to loose value being a senior and jays can't not sign another 1st rounder. -

Baseball players are babied enough already. Arms are blowing up everywhere, why not get what you can out of them. Sure he has been erratic at best this year but he has legit stuff that plays at the big league level. 19 year old kids can play top level in almost all pro sports but don't even think about it in baseball they need to work there way through the system. Its ******** if the kid can play the kid can play. I would much rather see Sanchez come up as a kid with huge potential and try and figure it out then watch Happ with 7 years at the big leagues try and figure it out. -
rounds 6-10 are lame. Round 11 is the only other round I'm really interested in. Not to sure how much money they are going to save on the 9th and 11th picks. I would hope Wells going at 83 and ranked 119 would go a little under slot. Not sure what Taylor will cost. So they take one more high profile guy incase they can sign one of wells or reid foley. Do you think they will have enough money left over to sign one more $500-750k player if they sign everyone?

It is a stupid system. Players should have to declare themselves for the draft with money being set for all picks. If your a highschooler and are going into the draft as a potential 5th rounder or later you choose to declare yourself for that money or go to college, pick one or the other. NHL rookies top out at $900k per year for the first 3 years you make money if you produce at the pro level. You should not get 9 mil because you were good in high school. There should be no such thing as a re-draft, the system, especially for the first few rounds should be the same as the nba. Having to punt picks to sign people is stupid. It is a draft you should always be drafting the best available player.
