    Longoria could basically earn that contract in half the time if he keeps playing the way he's playing. Pujols and Hamilton are already disaster contracts, I feel pretty bad for the Angels sometimes.

    It's pretty sad just now many of these huge contracts have flopped. Many of them belonging to Dodgers, Yanks, and Angels.

    Was anyone else disturbed by the fact that Reyes didn't even dive for the ball that went under his glove to his right in the 5th when Dickey was throwing a no-hitter? I mean he probably doesn't have time to throw him out but at least make an effort when your pitcher is throwing a no-no.

    It's the other way around, he's NOT thinking about the situation (he's just caught up in the heat of the moment).

    Thole is a pretty horrendous slugger, he doesn't look like it but the guy is pretty much just a singles hitter.

    As a Blue Jays fan I say the Yankees, as a neutral sports fan... could be any of either Blue Jays, Tampa Bay, or Yankees.

    I don't think it's what people believe. But I think it's what people prefer to believe rather than have the knowledge that Lawrie is actually so dumb that he would think a runner scoring in that situation would make any difference. Again to clarify, there are only 2 possibilities: 1) Brett Lawrie is so selfish he wanted Lind to score in that situation so he could have an RBI 2) Brett Lawrie is so dumb he thought a runner scoring from third in the 9th down by more than 1 run would actually make a difference on the outcome of the game Both of these possibilities are awfully disturbing, hence Lawrie's popularity going down the drain lately.

    Nice post I just don't get the connection to Cruz and Kawasaki? Kawasaki was cannon fodder and performed well for the time he was alloted. There's nothing about Kawasaki's talent that makes him an asset you can't lose. Maybe hire him as a cheer leader instead of a baseball player and you got something. With that said I'd take Kawasaki over Boni. Boni is not even a baseball player.

    LOl........ no. Lind was hitting everything, now he's hitting nothing. I'm pretty sure all pitchers didn't globally synchronize their efforts vs. Lind and come up with some super counter-strategy.
