  1. Convenient you mentioned Martin's throwing error but none of the baserunners hes thrown out. I can recall at least 3 in the previous week and a half. Martin will be fine. His bat will come around. At least hes still drawing walks. He has caught bad breaks too - getting called strike 3 on a clear ball 4 and another on a pitch he got hit by in the same game.
  2. Does Osuna remind anyone else of Kelvin Harrera? Both guys are smaller in stature but pack some heat.
  3. He gave up a walk and a weak gb that found a hole on the right sude, I thought he looked fine.
  4. What a game back to back road series wins great start to the season.
  5. Great ABs this inning once again. This lineup is ao stacked. And forvthe first time in forever Jays are getting production from their 7,8,9 hitters
  6. Travis looks so comfortable at the plate. Hard to believe hes a rookie.
  7. Tillman at 60 pitches with only 6 recorded outs. Great ABs today.
  8. O's lineup doesn't scare me as much without Markakis and Cruz, I think 1-9 Jays have the more potent lineup. Hopefully Buehrle can have an April like he did last year. Our starting pitching was spectacular this series.
  9. So happy to see Norris, Castro, and Osuna succeeding at the big league level.
  10. Yankees didnt even look impressive today... I can handle losing, but Jays losses are just gut wrenching
  11. I agree with Spanky. Sure Lind didn't provide much flexibility and was essentially a platoon player, but the guy was an elite hitter against RHP and I feel our lineup could really use a left handed bat with our 2-5 hitters all hitting from the right side. Also, Smoak is probably replacement level at best and this team still has no viable DH option. Risky business having your backup catcher filling that role. Norris - 137 IP 4.17 ERA 2.0 WAR Sanchez 148 IP 4.55 ERA 1.5 WAR Osuna - 61 IP 3.64 ERA 0.7 WAR Castro - 49 IP 3.36 ERA 0.8 WAR Travis - 400 PA .255/.318/.408 1.3 WAR Pompey - 580 PA .236/.301/.396 1.9 WAR
  12. Im not so optimististic as some of you. The added WAR we a we aquired will likely be lost with the aquisitions of Shertzer and Shields to the Yanks and Sox and our starting rotation is average at best. No front of the rotation power arm and no adequate 5th starter. Too high of expectations for Stroman and Hutch IMO and too little depth if any of our starters succomb to injuries. Still huge question marks at Cf/2b, and our BP has even bigger concerns. No legitimate DH to replace Lind (EE can DH but Smoak is replacement level at best at 1b). I guess Im In the minority for having wished we brought Cabrerra back. If we do DH by committee as many of you push for, what happens if one or more of our stars goes down with injuries? If we had used the money saved on Melky to sign Shields I would probably feel a lot better going into the season.
  13. Edwin Encarnacion is having another monster year on pace for 50+ HRs and 130+ RBIs.
  14. Lol the kid is working on a 2 hit complete game shut out and Im supposed to believe he hasnt pitched well? f*** xFIP
