well hes already logged a 93 and 92 RC+ season. so its not that crazy a proposition that a .300 BABIP with improved patients and pop would yield an almost league average bat.
In either case, we've seen him be a 3+ win player with mainly defense. When he's cheap I think you put that in the bank.
honestly, when Pillar is cheap I don't have any issue with him in CF. He actually has seemed to improve with the bat this year, but is rocking a low BABIP. With the improved plate discipline and pop I think he's likely at least a true talent 95-100 RC+ guy. Couple that with defense (still p-valuable even in a down year defensively). We could do worse while he's cheap.
I'd probably roll with him in CF and Alford in a corner till he starts making some money, then trade him.
its going to be tight down to the finish. I thought I had a nice little advantage playing KK this week, but you have him next week. Then I've got The War Pigs to end the season while you play Hurl this week.
Keeping my fingers crossed . Twist and Trout is actually catch-able for either of us that don't win the division.
My biggest 'want' is a high quality SP. I've danged Carlos Santana to a few owners but we haven't matched up just yet. Could also deal futures for a boost like Senzel, Whitely, or Sixto (plus my 1st).
BTS, you sold me a weird asset with Bedosian. Last week he pitched well, and got me a W, SV, and HLD in the same week. Ended up winning SV's with that single save and tying holds because of him.
very odd indeed, but a nice week.
Trade history is back up to date.
One thing I noticed while going trough was that there was an awful lot of 2018 assets being traded pre-deadline. I wanted to reiterate that these are NOT TRACKED by the league in any way. As such I listed them as 'future considerations' in the trade history.
Its up to you to ensure things get processed eventually.
Are we ok with this as a league? I could see an argument to restrict pick trading to current assets making sense. Or we could start tracking assets beyond the current year/next drafts. Not sure if its worth discussion, just figured I'd bring it up because it was a lot more frequent this year than previous.
Trade aside (I think the return was really light) I think this level of anger over a player like Cozart is overblown. Everyone an their dog new Gibbers would deal him. He's old, its a fluke season for him, and he has Correa coming back.
Gibbers isn't the easiest guy to get a hold of, but I have to assume he didn't have a bunch of offers sitting in his inbox unanswered.
Could he have shopped him mor?... sure... but that's his call.
I don't see why he would help JB for the sake of it.
Just my two cents.
I will spend Wednesday night trying to catch up on the trades, trade history, and asset moving. I'm still going to be busy as f*** through the summer and fall, but I will try and do better at staying on top of this.
I don't see it happening because the dollars are so huge and Miami would be toasted if they traded him without getting some nice talent in return. I can't see the combined cost working.
I'd take on that whole contract to get him for some b-assets, but I don't see it happening.
Stanton in the RC would be scary.
