welp, Price and now Murray down with concussions b2b... And with Neuvirth down that leaves me Kemper only!
playoffs looked like a good shot... not so much now.
If anyone has not already, please ensure that your keepers are properly reflected on your rosters. I'd like to ensure everyone has a proper opportunity to survey the waiver draft pool ahead of that draft starting.
We had talked about the draft starting this Sunday (say noon?). We still good with that date?
12 hour windows, no break over night. Please familiarize yourself with the waiver draft rules found on the 'Rules' tab under section 4 'Rule 5 (Waiver) Draft'.
I thought we had made a decision of Ohtani. He is two players (nothing we can do about that even if we wanted to) but you only need to use one keeper slot on him. If this hasn't been decided, lets get this figured.
Whats the clarification on Maitan?
There aren't too many 'high risk' signings for that little money on a 1 year deal (the money or years IS the risk in a contract sense).
He COULD suck, no doubt about it. He's 35 and got bombed by HR's last year.
But he COULD be elite. He's one year removed from a 2.13 FIP season where he only gave up 0.53 HR/9.
I think more likely he's in the middle, which means he's a serviceable BP arm on a short term for almost no money.
Reward is high (elite BP for little cash), risk is low (he sucks and you cut your losses for $2M)
so NJH, what's the usual procedure here? Do we wait for the draft to end to 'input the draft results' or do we just 'start the season' and add manually (or via player adds)?
I could be missing something, but it doesn't look like all players are in the player pool till the season is started.
In a surprise move Speedy has decided to drop his entire team (no keepers selected).
Its a bold move Cotton, lets see if it pays off
But seriously, I didn't catch up with all the moves during yesterdays flurey, so please check your roster after I input Speedy's picks and send me a PM to ensure I move whatever assets are required.
Please also check your roster on the sheet as I like to have it up to date before its no longer tracked on the sheet during the season.
I assume this is going to be for peanuts, and if so is a great signing. Not depending on him to be anything, but could be a perfectly serviceable RP.
HR's crushed him last year, but the other peripherals were fine. We'll see, but a good gamble.

Anyone interested in Duncan Keith? I've been trying to trade him to JB but he won't get back to me!
Goals haven't been there this year but he's still playing a s*** load, shooting a lot, playing the PP, and getting a good chuck of blocks.
I think he could help a team down the stretch and I just don't believe in my team when they are this injured
plus getting Jansen time under Martin's mentorship can only be a good thing. Perfect situation really with an older vet who is very secure in his starting role, but not long term (so he isn't helping the guy who will 'take' his job)
Doesn't look like you saw my messages Boxy, but you edit'd MiLB picks not waiver picks. I processed the trade on the waiver and roster side if you can just reverse what you changed on the MiLB pick side
