I think I could/would have beaten that offer (although I didn't have an arm as intriguing as Fin on the table)... unfortunately I have the disadvantage of being out in Toba so couldn't butter Hurl up with beers.
Too bad.
anyone want Morse for a pick? My other OF options are stepped up and he has been (admittedly) s***, but he could turn it around and be a solid-ish OF. Highest offer gets him tonight.
I need Montero, Bundy, and Hultzen to come rescue my staff!!
and yes, that is as depressing as it sounds! (Tanaka somehow coming back and Yordano getting less crazy would help too)
the market in this league is pretty fun. A season or two back you couldn't trade a good arm for pennies on the dollar (as far as I remember), and now everyone seems to be sort on arms. Interesting to say the least.
This is one of those ultimately rather small moves that just eats away at you more and more because its so f***ing stupid... what the f*** AA. What do you have to lose giving the guy a chance when he pitched so well early... Its not like you had better options that you were calling up! Its not like you aren't adding guys to the 40 for your call-up.
Just no rationale behind this I can think of make any sense.
Yup. Gives us another top of the rotation type arm, replaces Bautista in the OF and gives us a replacement for Reyes at SS. I doubt it gets offered tho with no place for Edwin to play, and no real CF to replace Pederson in LA.
I'd like to buy some pitching... someone sell me some f'n pitching...
Anyone but Russell or Giolito on the table for 'spects, picks and roster players discuss-able as well.
I agree that changing categories at this point is not fair to people who have built there teams around the stats we have. Why would we reduce prospects? Don't get the reasoning
