  1. For a DH? Sure He's gonna get a 3 year deal somewhere though.
  2. Angels better start shopping Trout because that team is a dumpster up until FA.
  3. Calhoun is good but I want a better hitter in return for Sanchez (he's above average though). He gets a good portion of his offensive value from baserunning, and he's 29. I'd do away with Stroman though.
  4. If we're going to give away Sanchez, you have to ask for a larger deal. You want Trout. Obviously Sanchez alone is not going to get Trout, but if we're going to give up a potential ace, you want the deal to be much bigger.
  5. I have: https://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_3_13?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=the+life-changing+magic+of+not+giving+a+fck&sprefix=the+life-chan%2Caps%2C172

  7. yup, Edwin started going oppo the last few games. Bautista I don't recall him going against the shift at all.
  8. Obviously it's impossible to replicate a guy like JD, but it would be nice having players who aren't always pull happy and are willing to go the opposite way.
  9. don't forget Saunders' 3 homer game.
  10. I really want to give Storen another shot
  11. fun fact: last year Joey Votto was a worse defender at 1B than Edwin
  12. he still was pretty definitive in his statement, like it was 100% guaranteed he would be nervous. He could've been a lot more neutral and said, "If Merritt is pretty nervous about today's start, we need to capitalize because it might be our only shot"
  13. it really wouldn't have made much difference in this series, unfortunately.
  14. Anyone want to take a shot at Ian Desmond? I don't know how much the guy is going to cost, and he wasn't a near total disaster in the outfield. His bat is meh, but most of his offensive value is base running. Maybe he can be our Zobrist. It can't be too hard for a former SS to play 3B/2B too.
  15. I'm pretty sure people are tired of the appreciation circlejerk, so I didn't bother. Still surprising no one started one yesterday.
  16. How the hell is there not a single Brett Cecil appreciation thread?
  17. No one really expected Storen to suck that bad. Slider is just as devastating K rate is still up Walk rate acceptable GB % rate up that HR/FB ratio though is unsustainable. Buy low? He could end up being just like Grilli/Benoit honestly
  18. watch Biagini end up just like Hendriks, shipped away for a piece we don't really need.
  19. while researching a bit I came up with this article. Pretty insane how much attention we gave to Storen https://www.thestar.com/sports/bluejays/2016/03/22/osuna-wants-to-close-but-will-wait-his-turn-if-need-be-dimanno.html
  20. If we needed a rotation arm badly, sure. But we don't. Even if we needed a 5th starter desperately I wouldn't consider him. Although I do find it funny how a lot of people here wanted a guy like Chapman to start back when he was with the reds. It's a bit different when it's your own guy.
  21. 5 more innings, probably less if you want to consider the other relievers elite like Shaw and Otero.
