  1. I wonder if Gose is playing. Gose will be the starting CF and will be batting leadoff against righties
  2. I find it funny and cute how you keep using exclamation marks after every sentence lol
  3. Castro and Osuna should be starters..but not at the MLB level
  4. Y'all don't realize that CaStro is already suitable.
  5. anyone know Shipley's pitch count? If he only pitched 5 innings at this put in ST, I'd wager someonwhere at 60-70 pitches?
  6. Who is hitting behind him?
  7. http://s2.quickmeme.com/img/a0/a012b0f2e8e23f30ee3ecbec409b821576192a430f7ab99c22f24a77f5b4003f.jpg
  8. Read this article. It's a good one. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/aaron-sanchez-gets-shot-blue-jays-starter/
  9. If Shipley can add something to get more K's, we got a Brandon Webb on our hands. Until then, Shipley = Wang with less control
  10. Huh...apparently Aaron Sanchez's real name is Aaron Shipley. I'm going to call him that now.
  11. I just hope he doesn't go back to his Yankee numbers. That's like paying Jose Molina 80m.
  12. Apparently Donaldson said on the radio that he was talking about hitting and his stance with Bautista, and those changes helped him hit a home run off a two seamer, which he hasn't done before.
  13. Oh AA said that he views them as starters long term. I guess they could pitch the entire year in relief, but that pretty much makes them go backward, not forward, seeing as their whole innings limit will go out of whack. They should go the route of 2014 Sanchez
  14. 4 Van Norris - > Stroman Devo - > Izzy Castro - > just good Osuna - > just good
  15. I liked John Buck. I remember that 3 homer game.
  16. and THIS is why there is always a risk on MILB signings. Cause dumb shits like Viciedo end up on the team... Hopefully he doesn't.
  17. He's tenure with Kansas had good peripherals but again he seems to be hittable. Only positive is his lack of HR given up and the nice BB/K. And I wouldn't put much stock into his ST #'s considering he likely faced the orgfillers out of the BP. I wouldn't mind Hendriks breaking camp but that's only to get that extra year for the young guns.
  18. I think y'all are over valuing Hendriks. The guy has great peripherals in the minors but he seems like an AAAA player. Could end up like a Todd Redmond. He was DFA'd by Kansas and we only shipped Nessy
  19. John Lott ‏@LottOnBaseball ·6 mins6 minutes ago Gibbons (cont'd): “ … It’s just not the way we’re putting the team together right now. That could change. That’s the business side of it." dis gon be gud
  20. What if I told you that the same thing would happen to Stroman (we would lose an extra year of control) if we brought him up at the start of 2014?
  21. Anyone else think there is a rift going on between Gibbons and AA? First the Thole comments and now Delabar.
  22. The question is not 'better', it's about getting the most out of your assets. Bringing them up now instead of delaying their call up by a few weeks to a few months could be more valuable.
  23. Delabar seems like a cool dude, I really hope we see him. He still has the stuff, and on any other team he'd be in the MLB (well except the Royals) For some reason this organization also shits on him. He wasn't even called up last September.
  24. I have a strong feeling that Martin overachieved considerably offensively last year, and we won't be seeing a high .OBP or a good offensive year for him. Hopefully Pompey does well this year and we can replace Martin in the 2 hole. Of course, that ends up having Martin in the 7 slot ;/
