What was wrong with that choice?
Just asking cause I thought it was a good move. Goins is a slap hitting dude who normally hits a lot of weak grounders naturally cause hes s*****. You gotta hope that down by one run late he can use one of his patented s***** swings to hit a little 5 hoper at the shortstop hole. Thats all he had to do. But goins being goins he overthinks even a hit and run and tries to murder the ball and swings through it like a retard and makes Gibby and Kawa look bad when its all actually goins fault.
He got seriously hurt. Being his first time playing everyday he tried to play through it. Playing with pain caused him to pick up bad habits and then that eventually overwhelmed him to the point where he had to go on the dl. Probably came back with lingering issues and got stuck at AAA for the rest of the season.
Or at least that's my guess.
Clearly the dude can mash the fastball.
The other fangraphs video is soooo much better. The pre tommy john hoffman was looking like he was better than 90% of MLB pitchers already. Sick armside run on his heater and vicious bite on the curve. Delivery looks much better pre tommy john too. Stays on his backside longer and doesnt lunge to home like he was in the recent video.
Oh that would be like the best case scenario
I hope that will happen. Norris has a very good shot of moving up all the the way to AAA if he keeps it up.
If Rasmus goes on the DL, I would definitely want Pillar on the team, in addition to Gose. Creates a pretty solid platoon in cf but if Rasmus will be back in a few days, I wold rather go with Gose. Exceptional defence.
He's been working on his fastball command for the past two years. He threw nothing but fastballs his last start apparently. If he started pitching as if he was in the majors, I bet the results would be much different.
