  1. I really don't think AA is going to trade Sanchez, so that probably means he will trade Stroman. I think that would be a HUGE mistake considering what we will probably get in return.
  2. Nah, the Tigers are relevant after July. We aren't.
  3. Rudy Gay is garbage. Dwayne Casey is worse. What team is setup better for a 6-11th seed than the Raps?

Please please please fire Carlyle: Rielly and Gardiner are scratches over Ranger and Fraser?!? The team doesn't show up to play half the time. At some point you have to blame the coach. Outshot in all but 3 games. Forcing the team to play a style that doesn't fit them at all. This guy is getting up to Dwayne Casey level of incompetence.
  5. Trade Bautista and Rasmus. Play Sierra and Gose in the OF everyday. Goins at 2B. Jimenez to starting catcher ASAP. Stroman, Nolin and Hutch start in the rotation. I know I would have more fun watching that team than the team we watched last year.
  6. Please take the job and save us from this misery. Seriously, that's awesome.
  7. Rustled Jimmys...aw man I'm still ROTFLOL as I type this.

    Carlyle is really terrible
  9. Good one, you're great with these funny image macros!

If the Leafs had been decent it would've been a great trade.

He's exaggerating but they have made a lot of good moves. Too early to judge Clarkson and Grabovski, although they probably won't be great.

You guys are quick to point out all the not-so-great moves they've made. It's like you have a list and just can't wait to list them all off. How about the good moves? Or are you guys so used to losing and rooting for terrible teams that you can't see past the negatives.

Leafs playing terribly against a terrible team like always
  14. I remember when Samardzija was a WR at Notre Dame, and I've always cheered for the guy since he chose baseball over the NFL. But I am scared of bringing a pitcher over from the NL to the AL East. If we don't give up Stroman/Sanchez it might be ok, but idk...
  15. Does this include the prospects we get for Bautista?
  16. I like the ideas and would rather go this route than overpay and try to force a playoff spot, which is exactly what we did last year. But I would trade Bautista and/or Rasmus this offseason, play Gose and Sierra all year and rebuild the farm system.
  17. Even if they traded Gay, Lowry and DD today I'm not sure they would be bad enough to guarantee a top 5 pick. And's that the problem.
  18. Well the Raptors are first in their division with a 6-7 record. They might actually be the best team in the Atlantic right now with the Knicks and Nets sucking. I was onboard with the tank, but now I realize that its going to be really hard to be bad enough to secure one of the top 5 spots. The East has some horrendous teams, and the few bad teams in the west are going to get steam-rolled throughout the season and probably get a few of the top spots. So let's go for the playoffs, why not?

    Lol Leafs
  20. Good analysis. It seems that the problem is that people don't believe that Goins is a great defender based on the small sample size we've seen. The thing is just watching him you can tell his is a great defender, and the stats backed him up. So I'm willing to say he's a great defender, no reason he can't be as good as Hudson.
  21. Yeah I like it.
  22. Regardless of whether you define him as "elite" or just "great" he's still a plus (plus) defender. What I've been trying to say is that I think his projections are off. Steamer has him at 0.1 WAR with a 67 wRC+ (very reasonable) and 3.3 Def (not very reasonable) in 97 games. He had 6.5 Def in 34 games last (And I know it was unsustainable we went over this pages back), but I think his real value is somewhere in the middle. That could bump him up to 1 WAR or maybe more. You keep saying his bat is bad, but his D can make up for it and more to become a solid bench guy, maybe even 2B.
