    I hate MLS for it's North American league style. No other league incorporates playoffs, they have things like the League Cup, FA Cup, Coppa Italia, etc. which means that winning the league itself is an enormous accomplishment. No one cares who wins over the course of the long season here, it's all about success over a few games stretch where anyone can win. They play at the wrong time of year, too. I get it for other sports but it really bothers me in soccer for some reason. The quality of play in general in MLS is pretty awful from what I've watched the few times I've tried. Oh, and my favourite are the stupid team names, like Toronto FC SOCCER club, or Real Salt Lake which is a Spanish city for some reason. I bet the guy who named it didn't even know what "real" means, just that it sounds "soccery."

    What we can learn from all this is: 1) Multiple DUIs that can seriously harm or kill other people are acceptable. 2) Being a violent racist, who nearly beat a man to death, will get you into the HOF no problem. But steroids. Oh man, you are just the worst ever if you go near those things. I hope ARod, Bonds, Clemens, etc. all die very painful deaths from being anally raped multiple times in prison. They are the worst kind of people.

    If I remember correctly, we decided on just one. For the best, the NA slot is good for utility especially if you are early promoting a prospect so it gives you a little bit of room for error but 2 is overkill IMO.

    I don't really see anything harmful in what LeBatard did. He probably submitted the most reasonable ballot of the 500+. That is quite sad given it was entirely fan generated. Some of these guys really need to die off already.

    You don't need to register a US address. I used unblock-us since I use Netflix a lot and I can switch regions on the fly and never had issues watching any games live. Oh, yeah and I use the PS3 for everything. Just changed the settings on my router and I don't get blocked on any platform using my WiFi connection.

    Sorry for the bump, but I thought I'd offer to do this properly tonight, with the permission of our gracious and just overlords. This just wasn't proper (no offense connorp, your dumn) and there weren't enough categories. I'd like to do a top 3 kind of thing, so more people are included and fewer people are overlooked. I also thought it would be cool if Juiced slipped award winners a title under their usernames for the year, kinda like how I have beenz for some reason. I guess I could use several Google docs to post up the rankings and total points. I know people already kinda voted but I would be disregarding this thread entirely and I don't think people will mind another chance to fellate their heroes/get fellated by their fanboys. Plus it gives me a chance to really stack up my thank count and ratio. If people don't mind me taking this on, please suggest some categories. Edit: also please suggest some award names.

    Ranked by WAR, Morris was the 7th most valuable pitcher of the 80s, behind guys like Ryan, Blyleven and Gooden. Guess who else? Dave Stieb. Morris threw the highest sheer number of innings in the 80s as well, so much of his value came from durability and longevity rather than pure skill. You let Morris in, then Mussina Should be a lock and probably guys like Pettitte too. Then how do you leave out Kevin Brown, especially with how fast he fell off the ballot?
