  1. I like Sam Gaviglio as much as the next guy, but why is he throwing in a tie game in the 8th inning?
  2. Maybe you're right. I probably just have irrationally high hopes for him. Just weird, he easily has the speed for CF and that's like 75% of the position. E: I guess my point is moot, didn't realize the first lineup was "probable" and that this one is very different. Still very good lineup construction, but that glaring hole at DH is really starting to bother me.
  3. That was pretty sick. He didn't even pause, just scooped it as if that throw was right on the money. And the weird thing is that Matt Olson probably would have scooped that almost as well. The Matts are both top tier scoopers.
  4. You bastards created me. Don't think I've forgotten.
  5. Who threw him out? I heard it was a pretty heads up play. Then I heard there was a walk off grand slam in the 9th but forgot if it was the same guy who erased Ohtani. What a beautiful swing. My god. Someone should put it on a coin.
  6. How did they lose again?
  7. I have considered that my stubborn old man syndrome may have contributed to my resistance to the idea. Maybe it isn't that bad after all. Manfred still sucks, though.
  8. I'd rather see Fisher in CF than Alford but whatever I guess.
  9. So we can make political posts about baseball but not respond to them?
  10. He was banned for what, a direct response to another post where he had the incorrect opinion? Just trying to understand what living in your forum entails. No one here asked MLB to inject tons of political theatre into their games. And I agree with Metafour, either allow political discourse or don't, but don't just allow what you personally agree with and ban people who oppose it.
  11. Man, he narrowly missed getting his head crushed afterwards by that ass
  12. Put 5 on Biggio hitting the first Jays homer. Wish I'd put down more
  13. s***, forgot about him. He's been on a tear, could end up blossoming into the next Chris Shelton.
  14. Seems like Nate Lowe has nowhere to play in TB. We should try to nab him.
  15. Damn, there's a blast from the past. I think I drafted Jackson like 50 years ago in DDL. He was supposed to be a stud.
  16. 1. Puig is darker 2. Obvious joke 3. Try taking yourself less seriously.
  17. I think most of us feel like too many teams make the playoffs in those leagues and that baseball's playoffs being harder to make made them more meaningful along with the games leading up to them.
  18. f*** you, everyone loves the Bills Mafia
  19. Americans have a superiority complex Canadians have an inferiority complex Americans aren't knowledgable of issues outside their borders Canadians disproportionately care about issues of occuring in the US Also when keeping in mind who "handled" the virus better, I'm not really sure what that means. The US is far more densely populated than Canada. New York is incredibly densely populated, tons of people living in apartments, dependence on subway, etc. I don't really think Canada vs. US is an apples to apples comparison and I find it irritating that many Canadians use it as an opportunity to dunk on the US. That's all I have to say. I find it hard to criticize politicians for not reacting quickly to the virus (almost everyone on the West was very slow) because it was really hard to envision us ending up in this scenario. What annoys me is politicians flinging s*** at one another over it when none of them took this seriously even in early March.
  20. Are we not supposed to discuss how politicians are dicking the Jays around, sometimes for no discernible reason? Kind of unavoidable.
  21. Idk if he's quite as ruthless or ambitious as Fidel Castro tbh
  22. I don't agree, in regards to doing things for show. Cuomo is all about doing things for show. Also, remember that NYC didn't shut down or clean the Subways until April, I think. Anyway, I wasnt trying to be political just giving an opinion based on past events as to whether or not Cuomo would try to block the Jays playing in Buffalo and right now, I think he'd take any opportunity to make it look like he's making things safer, even if it's solely for optics.
  23. He decided that it would be too interesting and scrapped it
  24. It's ok if guys suck as long as they are trying sooper dooper hard, and people do not develop after the age of 21. Everyone knows that.
