  1. You said that Hutchison's crazy high BABIP was due to his penchant for giving up lots of line drives. I never contested that he gives up line drives. Of course line drives have a higher chance of becoming hits but it's not that simple. I sorted by highest LD% and the BABIP numbers do not go up as LD% goes up. Thus, your silly argument for why Hutch has a .350 BABIP is not valid.
  2. Yeah because there IS NO CORRELATION. Here's a second one so we can go past this year. From 2002-2015 min 600 ip: http://i.imgur.com/IXqmzcz.png Please tell me, where is this correlation?
  3. I don't really know what to say to this. Did the graphic not load on your screen or something?
  4. Good point http://i.imgur.com/AbTmbJS.png One sec, my ******** meter is going off for some reason.
  5. I don't think anyone has argued that he hasn't been bad, but I don't think one should reasonably expect him to continue being that way.
  6. You've opened up a big can of worms, bud. No turning back now.
  7. Ugh the Indians rotation is filthy.
  8. Almost every starting pitcher in baseball relies heavily on their fastball, and Hutchison's has been decent this year.
  9. BABIP over .400 (not sustainable) HR/FB close to 14% Quality of contact virtually unchanged. Sounds like noise to me.
  10. Overall, his numbers are pretty similar. Last year he was an above average starter, this year he is an above average starter. He's just the anti-Sanchez and once again we see people placing far too much stock in earned runs.
  11. Surprised to see you shortsightedly calling for someone's head
  12. Hutch is throwing the ball just as well as he did last year.
  13. Yeah I figured, just would be nice to see him there.
  14. Wish they got Harper in over Pujols or singles machine Fielder.
  15. Good thing you posted that. He'd have never known otherwise.
  16. A lot of people swear by Big Bang Theory and American Idol too. Maybe they are catering to the dim masses who need to be cockslapped in the face with jokes.
  17. Not in the history of mankind...just currently.

That's so dumb. You can't give yourself a nickname.
  19. Yeah of course, the deal makes perfect sense. Probably about as fair as you could expect a trade like this to be given the circumstances.
  20. Yeah, idk if it's just me but Trout doesn't seem to have that Stanton/Harper swag.
  21. People always overreact when one guy gets the better player. I think it's a pretty nice trade for FTD, gap between Stanton and Trout isn't really that huge.
  22. If they made Sanchez look good, though, they wouldn't be flawed. Or if we had dealt Sanchez instead of Syndergaard.
  23. Doesn't matter, Lawrie has gotten the job done. Been a great player this year.
  24. One of the worst SS defenders to ever play the game. Him staying at SS when A-Rod came over was laughable. Exactly how bad he was is hard to say because DRS/UZR were not around for a large part of his career (and while he was young.)
