He had a really weird start to the season. Posted BB rates of 2.5% and 3.4% in April and May, respectively. His numbers are trending in the right direction, though, even his July. Great peripherals, stupidly low BABIP. I wouldn't be too worried as long as he's capable of playing. I've said before, also, that I do believe playing for the Rockies might have impacted him negatively and that he will be filled with purpose playing for Toronto. I wouldn't put stock into his defensive numbers just yet.
Maybe they adjusted his wOBA while not adjusting for new park? Idk.
FGDC: .288/.357/.493 .365 wOBA 132 wRC+
ZiPS: .308/.375/.522 .384 wOBA 131 wRC+
That doesn't make sense.
Yeah, Reyes doesn't deserve the hate he gets from drooling morons like LTR. He seemed like an awesome guy and was a pretty good player.
He was frustrating to watch at times but overall, he did well here. I am so ready for the Tulo era, though.
There's nothing wrong with not liking the deal. It is not a slam dunk by any means.
But you can't dislike the trade and say it sucks because you think Hoffman will be a stud. We are all aware that possibility very much exists.
I'd agree in being wait and see with this trade if Reyes hadn't gone the other way. Tulo had a really weird start to the year but he's been progressively getting back to being his old self, plus I can buy in to the fact that he performed worse because he hated playing for Colorado. This move pushed me to go to the game tomorrow and I'm sure a lot of other people too. Hopefully Rogers sees the immediate returns and gives the OK to take Shields or Hamels.
