    I said we'd try. We have his contact info, but we are unknowns on a platform he isn't familiar with. I'm doubtful he'd agree but we will try.

    I am noticing players still spitting on the field, close discussions (between teammates doesn't matter much, I guess, but with umpires too), etc. I highly doubt the virus is being passed on the field, as was the case with Philly, where none of the players tested positive even though the Marlins are riddled with cases. There had to be some expectation of this built in. You can not freak out over a couple of positive tests or you may as well just cancel the season.

    Not to speak for everyone, but I'm fairly certain 80% of this board badly wants to see Gibby return. Not to spoil anything but we are going to see if we can get an interview with him. We are still small fish but maybe he's willing to grace us with some of his time so we can ask him straight up if he left because he wanted to or if he was just not being renewed. If it's the latter, that's inexcusable. Like the rest of this team, Gibbons has grown as a manager. He's not stubborn. He improved his in game management year after year and he seemed like probably the best personality in baseball. There was no reason to let this guy go unless he wanted to.

    I don't know about that. Gronk was "retired" and he's only 31. Injuries have taken a toll on him.

    I wouldn't assume anything. MLB has the right to manipulate the draft order as they see fit with no restrictions.

    Look, I don't want to start a whole "thing" but does no one think shutting down the entire park over two positive tests is overkill? I'm looking at this from MLB's perspective. If you were planning to go ahead with the season, wouldn't you kind of expect something like this to happen?

    Hmm. I'm not part of LoD, so I'd have done the same thing L54 did. 2 days seems arbitrary. If no one cares enough to put him on waivers, I don't really see what's wrong with adding him a day after his debut. If it's a written rule, then I guess you could've had other people waiting for the clock to run out. Not trying to influence rules in this league, but if this is all fantrax based, it could affect DDL too.
