Eyeballing it, I'd probably put both comfortably in the top 30, especially Gonzalez. Taylor seems kind of an Andrew Sopko type, maybe a bit better. I have no idea what kind of stuff each guy has, though.

Good pitchers throw balls down the middle all the time. Their ability to get swinging strikes within the zone is why they are able to keep those walk totals so low.

His career turnaround has been amazing to watch. This guy will be an easy first ballot HOF and at one point he was starting to look Felix Hernandez-y before Kate Upton saved his career.

Because people get carried away. I'm glad this FO doesn't seem to give a s*** about fan opinion, but some do and I'd hate being stuck with Vlad at third. One thing that play did show was a nice pick on the short hop. You know which position has to do that all the time? The most underrated player in baseball is on the market this winter and he's a dream signing. Him or JD. Plus, unbridled homerism is generally very annoying and I will be a killjoy wherever it occurs.

No one's conversion rate on that would be zero %. Hell, even I'd probably make that play given like 50 chances.

If I had to guess the out conversion % of that play, I'd say probably 80%-ish. But you know, don't let me interrupt your unrealistic homerism.

Pretty damn nice return imo. Gonzalez looks like a nice lottery ticket and Taylor looks like a pretty serviceable backend rotation piece or reliever.
