Pretty sure he's a fan favorite here because he's put up good numbers in the minors and has very good tools, nothing related to his canadianness. -

They offered the most money so it was more than the 3/28 he got from LA.

Pretty sure everyone understood that a 37 year old Steve Nash wasn't going to make a last place team a winner. All the talk was about how Nash would sell a lot of tickets/jerseys and make basketball more popular in Canada.

Doubt they would accept that. Maybe they can pull off Morrow trade 2.0 and do Sanchez for Gausman.

To be fair, the team was willing to openly treadmill by signing Steve nash and everybody was okay with it.
