  1. Ok there is a few issues with this though, first of all, some batters took more ABs than the rest because Leyland thought those players could add a run in for the AL disregarding the rest of the bench. What about the poor Astros fans? Castro didnt play at all. The ASG, when over managed like yesterday doesn't become fun. I want to see the homer leaders swing for the fences and players to feel free so we can see crazy things, but every player took the game too serious for my likening.
  2. You're right, I'm expecting much from these dinosaurs. It just pisses me off that the ASG is held to such importance because of the impact it has on the WS, yet everyone (including Selig) treats it as a fun game (which is the correct way of treating it). They should revert back to the old way of WS determined by W/L record and allow players to be recycled and reused after the reserves are done, incase there are extra innings. I feel like, at times, forced to cheer for the AL because the Jays have (a slim, but still possible) chance to reach the post season and the decision would impact them, if they reached that far (I know it sounds dumn because it's almost impossible for the Jays to reach the WS, but you get my point!)
  3. Yes because that is better than playing one game in the season where you play your best 9 players for only 2 ABs and give players (who have to be from each team on the MLB and voted in by fans) very limited chances to make an impact.
  4. Two years ago the Mat Latos trade happened? But I get your point, aging offensive players get one big prospect (ala Beltran for Wheeler dumn trade)
  5. That makes it important doesn't it? If the Jays went to the WS last year and had to play the Giants when the Jays had a better record you'd care wouldn't you? So therefore the ASG means something, and if Bud Selig (retardedly) makes it this crucial to a WS victory, then why should the MVP be a handout? Would you be happy if the AL MVP would be Mo? No, of course not. My point is, why is the ASG held as something so important when you're going to give the awards out as a tribute, as if the contest doesn't matter, but in fact it really does? The ASG MVP should symbolize the person who aided their side to victory, and gave their respective league's winner home field advantage
  6. Is it too late to get a Mark Texeria-like trade for Bautista? I still would like to hang on to him, but I think for the best of the franchise, he'd bring a lot in return for the team :/
  7. Because if Bud Selig makes the ASG mean something important, why does the MVP get handed out for free? If the ASG was treated like the Derby, then IDGAF that Mo wins, but if they make it so important that it decides home field advantage for the most important series in baseball why should the award be handed out as a tribute?
  8. If the ASG is so f***ing important especially to the Postseason, why is the MVP given to a dude just because he's retiring at the end of the year?
  9. Thank you! I'm voting harder now than I did for final vote lol
  10. They don't mean s***, but there were no homers or RBI XBH so there's nothing else to look to. Opening RBI right now is pretty special
  11. Guys vote on MLB.com and #JoeyBatsMVP on twitter for Bautista!!
  12. I wonder if there were multiple bombs in the attack what would happen? It might be 9/11 part two lol
  13. Incase the AL blow the lead and Mo doesn't get to pitch
  14. Get to tweeting '#JoeyBatsMVP' please!!! I think we have the largest social media presence
