Jays:
Melk man is on FIREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. The dude really wants to play for his contract and/or his tumor made him play only on 50% effectiveness last year, regardless he's blasted his 4th straight homer in as many games and hopes to continue it against not so good Lucas Harrell.
Bautista has 6 hits so far this year. How many of them are homers? If you guessed 4 hits out of the 6 were taters, then you are correct! Bautista seems to be in his 2010 Bombtista form and as long as he's healthy, there's no reason not to expect 40+ homers this year.
15 of Toronto's 27 runs this season has come off the longball. The Jays seem to be reverting to their all all-or-nothing style that proved to be successful in 2010, the last time they were over .500.
Astros:
Harrell made it through three innings of an 11-1 home loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Friday, allowing five runs and seven hits with three walks. He also led the majors last year with 88 walks in 153 2-3 innings.
Astros second baseman Jose Altuve went 3-for-4 against Toronto left-handed pitchers Mark Buehrle and Aaron Loup in a losing effort Tuesday night. He's now batting .500 (6-for-12) against left-handed pitching this season.
Houston has scored 14 runs and batted .197 in the last six games. It has been held to two runs or less in each of the five losses in that span.
