    Pretty big strides year over year. He was on a roll before he got hurt and seems to be picking things back up. Still only 16 games but at least now feels a little more promising.

    Seems like a sure thing that Gibby and most of his staff are axed in the offseason if not some point this season. I hope they are looking to buy more pitching but not dumpster dive for guys like Chatwood and Garcia again. They can do the same stuff for the bullpen with reclaimation projects and give some of the arms we have in the system a shot to go along with Tepera, Barnes, Biagini and Giles. Some moves have to happen to remove the log jam in the infield which probably leaves Solarte out either in trade or decline the option. That's about it and run with the prospects when needed.

    Pretty good move for Cleveland to pick up Oscar Mercado, was hoping the Jays would try to get him. His bat took off when they moved him from SS to CF.

    No one in their right mind would walk away from $60MM at age 33, he earned his contract and also earned his chance to rehab back even if he never makes it.

    Also just wanted to note we'll have 11 top 30 prospects in AAA when Vlad gets there and 6 guys in AA.

    Pretty sure he lives near Oakland, probably just wanted to join the team for a bit before they head out.

    Just heard Blair on the Radio, he said he exchanged some texts with some people in player development with the Jays and they are very high on Perez. Maybe they think they can figure out his delivery and fix his walk issues.

    Victor Victor probably going to be a Yankee.

    Immediately? I would be very surprised, who would want to trade for a former closer with mental issues during the season? At the very least he needs to rebuild some value here.

    Paulino and Giles good but I'm not confident Perez will ever figure out his delivery to throw consistent strikes.

    That's dumb you always trade for the best player you can get, just because we could use more pitching doesn't mean we should focus on only that. Especially considering what the Rangers got for Hammels I think we came out pretty well.

    He has dealt with injuries this year but even when healthy he hasn't hit well at all. A few guys who just fell out like Hagen Danner, Patrick Murphy, Yennsy Diaz and Spanberger. System is deep and continuing to get better, I don't think I've ever felt this good about our system in the last 2 decades.     Take a look at the minors now, 20%+ K rate is the norm. I hate it but it is what it is.

    I wonder if AA actually makes a play for Stroman, he is the one guy I can see overpay for him and has the prospects to do so.

    I'm some what interested in McKinney, although we seem to be collecting an alarming amount of players who can't play defense.

    He can play 2B adequately but if the power is real he can literally fit anywhere. Maybe take on a role like Zobrist all over the diamond.

    That probably explains why the Oh deal is not complete yet.
