  1. This is Chris Carter August type stuff lol
  2. Jimmy Nelson is gun be gud. I would jump at the opportunity if I were Dinger.
  3. You can put pineapple in stir fry and other meals too. Very versatile and delicious.
  4. Pineapples are the best fruit. Blackberries are very underrated, they're right at the top too.
  5. People usually pan my trades. Don't be discouraged.
  6. I like it for CatsAss. Bailey and Hosmer both had question marks and he turned them into a great player.
  7. I voted for Stroman. #crushedit http://i.imgur.com/gh24QsG.png
  8. What is there an inside joke going on? Sorry if I ruined something lol
  9. I've run a regression before on velocity/TJS that turned up nothing. Could check strikeouts tomorrow but I'd expect the same.
  10. 2014 SwStr% vs. FIP among qualified pitchers: http://i.imgur.com/2MR0OQ3.png So 7% corresponds to about a 4 FIP.
  11. Nah, the stats (FIP, linear weights) come from Tom Tango. Fangraphs just presents them.
  12. I'm taking this as a personal affront.
  13. What do you mean? James Shields is really good.
  14. So Soriano would be even worse than Redmond in Toronto? Interesting.
  15. Kind of interesting: Steamer thinks Todd Redmond and Rafael Soriano are basically the same guy. ' 7.92 / 2.98 / 0.98 (3.99 FIP) for Soriano, 8.10 / 2.64 / 1.19 (4.04 FIP) for Redmond. Many people think the Jays should give Soriano a chunk of cash to replace the other righties like Redmond in the later innings, but he's not really superior.
  16. He also put up a 4.47 xFIP though, given his extreme fly ball tendencies and mediocre strikeout and walk abilities. I don't expect much but he'll probably fit into a middle/long relief role.
  17. Daniel Bard was unplayable as a starter early in his career though, he walked the whole ballpark. Converting him to relief saved his career and the real mistake Boston made was trying to go back. It's a shame, really.
  18. There's no rule against being in two cliques.

Yeah I tried to keep it fairly simple and the analysis should improve with experience. Thanks for reading, means a lot.

Have you seen the new content?
  21. Mookie Betts still doesn't get any respect despite Fangraphs pumping him up day and night. He's in this conversation. How do you not know who's a good/bad framer? There are hundreds of articles a season published about the stuff and it's not like catchers change year-to-year.
  22. It's from a Chrome plug-in that many of us have downloaded. Razzball doesn't seem to add more than Fangraphs does.
