he could be referring to the availability of players. I dont think there are many good 3rd basemen to be found as compared to 2nd base which there really aren't many available at a price that would be affordable. just wondering.... because I'd have to agree to that. -

the ones that matter do... and that's how he got a bus ticket lol I'm not hating on Pillar. just saying that Gibbons cant have Ted Lily or Shea Hillenbrand incidents this time around. it led to his demise last time around

anything other than a nod and taking his seat was too much. the manager cant have players questioning his decisions. especially not right then and there in front of the team mates. if Pillar had a problem with it he should have voiced it after the game in Gibbons office.

bad enough he has veteran divas to deal with, cant put up with fringe players playing up.

cant see the low breaking balls past his gut. not idea where they have gone ones they get past the point of no return.

it's easy for things to get out of hand on a team and they wont win if the clubhouse isn't kept in check. it can be a hard balance. didn't Gibbons have Shea in his last time around, as well as his dust up with Lily`? I'm sure he's running a tighter ship so it doesn't get back to that again.

like I said... Gibbons has to make sure he sends a clear message, especially when a fringe player does this sort of s***. I'm pretty sure that Reyes was benched because he was lazy, but they didn't say it publicly. Reyes said openly that he wasn't tired. he only got into the game because jose got hurt.

I know... it's the fear of having to read everything a few long time hacks write that hurts.... not pointing any fingers, but you know who I mean. lol there are a few that most likely wont get tossed out, but I find insufferable.
