it's really hard to recover fan base if you build by tanking in baseball. Look at tampa. they have drafted early for a long time and then gone on to be a post season team for a while now and still cant draw fans. after the Yankees sucked for most of the 70s it took a couple years to fill the stadium again. Steinbrenner had to suck up some huge losses to get back to making a profit. He understood the business of baseball and built an empire. I dont think Rogers has a clue. just a bunch of actuaries who crunch the wrong numbers.

with Jose not being 100% they cant carry 3 catchers. that would mean that they have to convince Dick that Thole blows and is hurting the team.

He carried the team on his back in May and if he can get hot again he could carry them to the playoffs. Happ was just fine today. Defense and management were so good. Offense was close all afternoon. glad they finally got it done. night game tomorrow, day game friday, night game saturday and then day game sunday. I "probably" wont see the night games. lol. I always say I wont, but usually do, but that 4am start is brutal.
